Topic: “Are technology companies responsible for protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of
users of their products and services”.
In recent time, there are varied types of technologies has been developed especially for
consumers well being. Technology organizations attempt to produce or manufacture most
products by considering health and safety of customers, which is really very important.
Technologies make everything easy for buyers, it is beneficial for firms and people as well.
Many products or services in current time are produced for protecting well being of clients and
which makes them able to live without facing any health issues. The current study will base on
Smartplug as well established company. It will explain different kinds of research methods,
project management activities or elements and other things. This assignment will define set aim
and clear objectives, information in form of Literature review related to chosen topic and
reflection part at the end.
Rational-
The main reason behind choosing above topic is to gather a lot of data about contribution
of technology firms for health, well being and safety of consumers. With the help of this
research, researcher obtains information about accountability of companies for people health by
using varied research approaches. Another reason is to collect info about how technologies work
for same concern. Researcher is very excited to known about all these things.

Summary of plan-
The main objective of assignment is to define and describe how company is taking care
of their customer’s health, safety and concern about their well being. It will help to show people
why they should purchase Smartplug products. Consumers health and safety is the main priority
of companies in recent time, they focuses on manufacturing those products that provide benefits
to buyers healthy and life.
Project management is an application of approaches, appropriate knowledge, procedures,
experience and knowledge utilised to achieve set aims and objectives accordant to project receipt
criteria within approved parameters (Toljaga-Nikolic, Petrovic and Mihic, 2017). It is the way
project manager manages and organizes resources that are important to accomplish a task or
work in effective manner. It has ending deliverables that are controlled to a finite budget and
timescale.
Project management includes activities and planning of project resources to move a
specific task or role towards completion. Furthermore, it includes a onetime project or an
ongoing activity as well as resources managed includes technology, personnel and intellectual
property.
Aspect of cost-
Cost tolerance is applied as cash or a percentage amount beside expected budget. In order
to accomplish current project and obtain desire outcomes, project manager require approx 60

 Researcher can use Risk tolerance, which is quite beneficial as it gives handler an idea of
risks or issues they should escalate to project board.
 Due to lack of management, planning activities can be failed, which is also considering as
major risk in context of this project.
Resources-
In project management varied types of resources are needed to carry out project activities
in effective and ethical manner. These can be individual, funding, equipment or anything else
able of definition needed for completing of current project tasks. Project manager before starting
work must create a list of resources which required during work.
Quality-
It is not always synonymous with quality and perfection of service but also quality of
work, which is one of the most essential elements. Project manager must focus on quality of
resources and things they will use to complete their work. They must assure quality standards
will follow by each and every one.
Importance and benefits of project management-
It can be said that in order to deliver desired outcomes project management plays vital
role. It is essential because it assure what is being provided, is appropriate and will deliver real

quality in effective manner, which is really important for long term success of business. It can be
said that the role of a firm towards their target market is to identify customer’s need, which is the
main priority of venture. For example, Smartplug is one of that brand who consider the needs of
target market and then produce their products, which is quite beneficial for them in term of
increasing sales and building strong brand image within market place (Conti and et.al., 2019).
Leipziger, (2017) stated that, the main accountability of technology organization towards
clients are to provide appropriate information about services or items which they seek to
purchase. Management without making any mistakes must cater all data about changes or
innovation introduced by company for buyers. Without satisfying individual, organization cannot
be able to sustain and grow in market rather than before.
Impact seen by firm by managing safety, health and well-being of buyers-
Netemeyer and et.al., (2018) highlighted that, when company manage and focus on
health, safety and well being of consumers, they can build strong relationship with target
segment in ethical manner. It put positive impact on success of company as it help to increase

research.
Data Analysis: Different data collected with the help of the Data collection tool is
require to analysis in a way that it provide the meaning full help to the individual. In regards of
current study SWOT analysis is being used to present the data in the better way so that all the
individual find it easy to understand the same. SWOT analysis will eventually help the scholar in
presenting all the aspect of the outcome to the viewer of the same (Jensen, 2017).

Sampling: Sampling is regarded as a process which concentrated at selecting the sample
size to collect variety of different sort of the information from them. There are two commonly
used sampling techniques, first one is the probabilistic and another one is non probabilistic
sampling. Probabilistic is the one which provide all respondent an equal chance to get selected in
sample size. Whereas non probabilistic is the one which do not provide equal chance to all the
respondent in the sampling. Current study will concentrate and consider 100 respondent as a
sample size for the study. This was done with the help of random sampling method under
probabilistic sampling method (Litosseliti, 2018).
Ethical consideration: In the process of conducting the research scholar has make sure
that good level of ethics are maintain in the organization, as it has been identified that Scholar in
the study has make sure to take the consent of all the participant before collecting the variety of
different sort of the information from the different individual in the market. Scholar in the
research has also make sure that good level of confidentiality throughout the process of
conducting the research in the market (Almalki, 2016).
Limitation: There are varieties of different sort of limitation which was also identified by
the scholar in the process of conducting the report was that time allotted to complete the project
on the time was very limited in number, hence with the help of team the scholar was able to
complete the different project on time.

for the business and maintaining their well-being is prime responsibility for all the business.

and only 9 remaining respondent has gone with the option of No in the survey. This is very good
sign for the survey, as this information clearly shows that data which has been collected from
different respondent used to thing that customer are god for the business. This has helped the
scholar in collecting good sort of data in the survey.

societal concept under view that consumption generates significant societal impact. When
companies do not consider wellbeing of buyer, they can lose chance to gain several benefits.
Majority of respondents are in favour of above, first option according to them when company do
not recognize wellbeing of their buyer, its business sales get decrease, which is not beneficial for

consider health & safety problem, which is quite beneficial for overall brands image in term of
delivering better quality. Majority of participants have gone with second options and that is
fixing a good item testing procedure. It is one of the best and most appropriate way through
which firm can recognize several health and safety issue and solve it as soon as possible. Out of
100, 15 respondents are in favour of first option and they think that company must publish

guideline to utilize things in context of considering issue relate to health & safety. 15 are in
favour of third one and lest respondents almost 10 have gone with last option.

CONCLUSION
By summing up above discussion, it has been summarized that by focusing on well being
of consumers, companies in recent time are gaining a lot of benefits in term of driving attention
of buyers towards purchase, building positive image in market and many more. They all are
playing their accountabilities in context of target market well being effectively, without making
any kind of mistakes that puts negative impact on venture position and reputation in marketplace
where they operates. Smartplug and its management by maintaining and focusing on buyer’s
well being, accomplishing their sole accountability in effective manner, which in return building
strong connection between target market and business. There are several ways organization has
been utilized to maintain customer’s health. By satisfying people needs and considering their
concern relate to healthy and safety, company has been promoted their business in all over the
world, because when firm focused on people’s needs and their concerns they can satisfy

live.
Furthermore, it has been concluded that Smartplug Company while developing new
offering considering healthy and safety of their customers, which is actually very essential and
beneficial for brand. Organization obtained benefit in term of building better relationship with
consumers by considering above things. It helps generating brand awareness and increasing their
consumer’s base. This is one of the best benefits firm has been gained and used to retain their
potential buyer with them for longer period of time. This benefit company has been enjoyed for
long. From above analysis, it has been analysed that firm achieved all their aims and objectives
by performing according to plans. By concentrating on balancing well being of buyers company
is increasing cost of their venture effectively and efficiently. It leads to increase loyalty and trust
of people towards firm and its management. Researcher in context of this study used range of
methods which make them able to obtain desire outcomes. By using data analysis approach, they
gather data about organizational consideration in regard to health and safety problem. It has been

indentified that management by fixing products testing procedure effectively recognizing varied
issues relate to health & safety.
Researcher by using appropriate approaches and techniques has been analysed that when
firm do not consider well being of people, they losses sales and it also affect on their good will in
market in negative manner. It is not suitable for progress and long term success of brand as it
decreases their productivity level and raises legal compliance against them. Moreover, it can be
said that by focusing and considering further suggestions, Smartplug can enhance their sales and
satisfy buyer rather than before.
RECOMMENDATIONS-
1. Smartplug is one of the best companies in UK; they provide quality products and services
to consumers. While developing new offerings they should consider varied types of
considerations which are quite beneficial for them. Management must recognize needs and
requirements of their buyers before develop new offers, because it makes them able to satisfy
people effectively. It is one of the most appropriate suggests they should consider and implement
for gaining further benefits.
2. Furthermore, to satisfy target market there are many ways company uses effectively and
appropriately. They should conduct a meeting or face to face event where buyer visit and
communicate with manager to share their personal view and information about health issues. It
makes management capable to identify more things about their buyers and allow them to develop
new and exciting offers accordingly. This thing is the best for company and they will get many
benefits through this.
3. From above discussion, it has been identified that Smartplug considering health and
safety of people who purchase products from them and enjoy their services. At the time of
developing new things, all these elements are considered by management. They should do other
things as well to boost up their brand image in market and increase sales. For example, Manager
should analyse current market needs and trends.
P7- Reflection statement
While conducting a research, I have learned many things which is quite beneficial for my
growth and success. For example, I have learned how to use data collection approaches for
gathering data or information related to chosen topic. At the beginning of my work I decided

what approaches I would use to gather data and analyse it after that. With the help of developing
time management skill I had deliver results and quality work in effective manner. Along with
positive things, I face so many issues such as poor communication, limited duration for gather
data and other, during process of communication and data collection. It affect on my
performance and deliverables of project. I need to overcome all these problems and for that I had
take suggestions from experienced persons that helped me a lot and now I can communicate with
respondents to collect data or information from them about above chosen topic of current
research. By learning above things and developing new skills I can effectively work in the future
when the same situation arise.
