The model has four dissimilar modes of thinking including analytical, sequential, interpersonal and imaginativethathelpsan individualto identifyhisskillto leadothers, hisor her performance, creativity and problem solving skills. The analytical part is based on facts and logic, the sequential is based on integrating and synthesizing, interpersonal involves organized and planned skills and imaginative includes emotional feelings and sensitivity. Reflection Strategy As per the analysis, my thinking strategy is dispersed in all the four spheres of the brain and that leads to focusing in all kinds of thinking rather than concentrating on one or two. It leads to confusion in making decision in different circumstances. My learning strategy using Herrmann’s model would be to improve my skills and expertise to react to a particular situation in my workplace and achieve productivity and performance (Hughes, Hughes and Hodgkinson 2017). To continue to facilitate continuous learning the foremost step would be to become a critic of my own opinion and actions. After that I need to apply these into situations to develop my decision making and problem solving skills in the organization. To work in a team and improve my abilities to work in a team I need to be an active listener to reach success. When listening to the other person, it is also important to analyze the valid points on what the argument is based on. It is vital to listen to all other teammates and together take a decision in a non violent and productive way. I will be able to approach to a situation with much more peaceful mindset and quicker problem solving skills. It leads to everyone coming up with more open mind and meeting the organizational goal. Self-Leadership According to the self leadership questionnaire, my top three dimensions of self leadership are constructive through pattern strategies, behaviour focused strategies and natural reward strategies (Steinbauer et al. 2014).The results were as expected as I tend to evaluate things on beliefs and assumptions and I tend to talk to myself for better self assessment on situations in business
3 MARKETING AND STRATEGY workplace. I tend to observe things more rather than judging them, motivate myself that I can do the job and also criticize myself for not being able to do it. My behaviours that relate to bottom dimensions of leadership is lack of communication and interaction with others. I tend to analyze the situation myself and resolve the problem without talking and discussing with the teammates. However, self assessment and self motivation has been greatest aspiration and inspiration and learn from failures and never fail to try. It has been helpful both in my professional as well as personal life as another person will not always be there to guide me therefore, I need to be independent and honest in whatever I am doing. I prefer to set my short term and long term goals to meet my objectives and analyze where do I lack and what can be improved to improve my performance and focus on my goals. This pattern of behaviour relates to the outcomes I achieve and in my career. Reflection Strategy Threekeyarticlesrelatingtomyleadershipstylewouldbevisualizing, evaluatingand communication. I need to develop strategies so that I can work on my communication and interaction process to meet better performing results. 4 MARKETING AND STRATEGY this strategy will enable me to enjoy doing things than before and complete the task on time with minimal mistakes. Individual Decision Making It is vital to develop a social media policy to engage employees of the agency to work on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and so on to post information to about the website of the agency and any information regarding hiring or recruitment (French 2014). Young generation nowadays tend to se technology more and get information about job openings through these social media platforms that has been very useful to other successful companies. The policy must have certain guidelines and ethics that must be incorporated and implemented that employees can only engage with social media sites when posting any information about website or advertising about the agency which will be the sole purpose and using marketing strategies through these sites. They should not be allowed to use their personal account or blog to use in office hours. Any employee seen to breach or perform any misconduct, strict action would be taken against him and dismissed from the agency. Policy should be implemented keeping in mind the rules and regulations of the government and maintaining the goodwill and reputation of the employers. The employees should be allowed to use social media only to a certain extent of relating to work so that people can easily find and learn about the agency and contact us for any further information. Social media can also be used to take reviews and feedback from other people to improve the service of the agency. The rational decision making model is used to implement the social media policy. Firstly, the problem will be identified, then information will be gathered on how to solve the problem, the situation should be analyzed and understood, options should be developed, alternatives should be selected if the developed options does not work and appropriate decision should be acted upon.
5 MARKETING AND STRATEGY Therefore, in this situation critical analysis of decision making and problem solving skills and the power of thinking analysis should be used. A proper action plan must be developed to implement and allocate the resources and make decisions that should be accepted by all employees and make the policy work. Those employees who are against of using the social media policy in work hours must explained the benefits of using social media and how it can be used to advertise about the company. The employees who have idea and knowledge about platforms will definitely support the introduction of this policy and make them understand who are opposed to this. The rational decision making model will give discipline and structure to the process in a comprehensive and systematic manner that will help me to make decisions with minimal faults (Sharma and Sarraf 2018).It will generate sufficient and possible solutions and adequate contribution of all stakeholders. Conclusion Therefore, from the above essay it can be concluded that the self assessment tools have improved my performance and identified my areas of development and handle any situation in any kind of circumstances. It has improved my autonomy and responsibility and developed healthy and happy relationship with others and identified the gaps in my career. It has encouraged and motivated me to understand and analyze my own level of understanding and learning and where do I stand in my career and the ways of improving and utilization of my strengths.
