Argos is considered to be one of the growing as well as well known
catalogue retailer that is performing into Ireland, UK. Moreover, this is
also the Sainsbury’s subsidiary that is established in year 1972. The
aim of this presentation is to discuss the role of marketing by
understanding about marketing function and interrelation among
various functional organisational units.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OF MARKETING FUNCTION
According to American marketing association "Marketing
can be defined as a set of instructions activities and
different positions which can be followed by the
organisation in order to develop communicate deliver and
exchange different products and services within the
society by using the tools and techniques of marketing”.
