INTRODUCTION
The focus of marketing industry is to communicate with the companies to offer and advertise
their products for sale. The main reason of doing this assignment is to find my suitability and
flexibility to the marketing industry, With the help Gibbs reflection model I will analyse the
skills which are required in marketing industry. I will compare my skills, attributes with this
marketing industry. A process which is used to guide personal improvement is termed as
reflection. I found some professional marketing agent, they include communication skills,
interpersonal skills, leadership skills, data analysis skills.(Adeani, Febriani and Syafryadin 2020)

Gibbs model of reflection
Gibbs model of reflection is famous cyclic reflection model, that is first introduced by
Graham Gibbs in the year 1988, it tells about learning from experience or exploration, this model
includes 6 stages of experience that is description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion,
action.
With the reference of Gibbs model it tells that we should have to learn about experience,
give effective reflect on incidents. For the marketing assignment I have to complete all the six
stages of Gibbs reflective model, I have to come up with marketing ideas and strategies to create
a sustainable report on marketing industry. When this assignment is given to me I had a feeling
of confident, excitement to arrange a good report, I was looking forward to completing it
gracefully, the assignment was about marketing industry how businesses uses marketing skills to
increase their stocks and revenues, my role in this assignment was to analyse all the demand and
supply model of market, consumer desires, political and economical environment. The feeling of
getting response is always better, with this I was able to find all the strategies and techniques that
are used in marketing industry.(Ahamat 2019)
During the analysis of the marketing industry, I was thinking about enhancing my level
of research that will help me to figure out market related things easily. Good thing about
experience was that I had been able to find all the strategies and techniques used in marketing
industry, bad thing was that I faced a lot of problems in comparison with other business. Lectures
and notes on this assignment helped me a lot to work on it, knowledge gained from this
assignment is the factors and conditions required for the development of marketing industry.

From the all research and analysis, I had learned about many marketing strategies, also learned
about taking responsibility can improve my knowledge about the marketing. To develop the
skills for handling the situation, I had to take responsibility to make changes in different
approaches. If the situation of doing same thing again arise, I had to make a proper report on this
topic being compared with other companies, I would also have to try for gaining experience
about the topic by engaging it with primary research.(Middleton 2017)
Reflection
With the help of Gibbs reflection model I found my strengths and weakness in regarding
with marketing industry. I first thought that this assignment will not tell me about my key skills,
but I was astonished by the whole process, the primary question was about Gibbs reference
model, it tells that to take effective reflect on incident, occurrence, to learn by experiences. The
result of this assignment indicated that I will do better in this job role, with this model I
identified my skills which will ace in the role of marketing agent, I have pushed my limit to
reach the higher position in this job, Gibbs model helps me to enhance my communication skill,
interpersonal skills, as it required for higher marketing manager role, I learnt that I have a never
gave up attitude which allows me to always attentive. Gibbs model of reflection improved my
character strength as I have good self-control that completely reflect in the result.(Akella and
et.al 2021.)
I have learned about my key skill perseverance which allows me to complete the
assignment on time, it is kind of advantage for me to complete the work on deadline, but it can
be a disadvantage too that had to complete it as soon as possible which will possibly lacking in
some logical things, that made me realized that I may face problem in the future during the
examination for marketing field. I found that my personality is extrovert, optimistic, intuitive,
after found this quality I was astonished by the fact that I always used to be an introvert, I first
found these skills when I participated in college curricular activities, I had given a topic of
marketing then I realized about my interest and skills in marketing job, after completing the
assignment on marketing industry I agreed with the outcome that I am a person who like to
approach thing logically, I had a feeling of nailing the role of market manager in marketing
industry.

Knowledge plays an important role in the production and working of personal and
professional life. Reflecting the skills and quality of my own self has helped in increasing the
value of my experience and making me find out the meaning from the ongoing process. I have
identified both strengths and weakness in myself when working in the marketing sector. I have
identified that I can have some problems with the use of latest technology but the only in
achieving the best is by learning with the open mind. I will try to combat the issues I am facing
in the marketing industry while avoiding putting any pressure on myself. The model of reflection
has lead me to believe that I am not a good at problem solving skills (Krutka and Carpenter,
2017). These skills are important in the marketing department as there are many problems which
occur during the process. I have a great set of communication skills which is the most important
and the most basic thing required as being a marketing agent. I do require to develop more
knowledge on understanding the customers to find different ways which will help in gaining
their more attention. This helps me identify the behaviour of customers and determining their
needs and requirements. In addition to this, I am a great critical thinker which helps me identify
which option will work and which will not. After performing the personal reflection I also learnt
that I put a lot of pressure and take lot of stress to do the things as quickly as I can and all it
requires is to slow down and think calmly. It can be said that the skills are I posses are very
beneficial in the marketing industry however I have to focus more on the skills I lack in to
achieve the level of profession I desire.
This reflection has helped me give more importance to the professional growth by
carrying out an inner though process and have a better understanding of the areas I excel and
lack. By noting down the goals and objectives helped me to analyse the strategies to be used in
my job. It helps in both long term and short term. Reflection has also helped in searching for
innovative ideas which will improve my marketing methods (Wlodarsky, 2020). It made me
recognise the different methods which are falling short and becoming the important part of the
process. Understanding the own self will help me increase my professional network and meet
different people in more confident way. Working as a marketing agent can be a bit challenging to
meet the customer expectations and the plans have high possibility of either becoming a great
success or a failure. Learning to solve the problems is important to overcome the challenges and
reflection helps in mapping out personalised processes which includes my knowledge and past
experience and makes me become more resourceful and confident during difficult times.

Gibbs' reflection model helps me to figure out all my skills, strength, weakness in terms
of marketing industry, after result it concluded that being an attentive can be beneficial to the
marketing industry because it helps me to grow in market manager job role, this assignment
gives me an experience of self awareness that is important for psychological intelligence, this
model helps me to develop a good understandability in market industry, after reflecting back on
the result, I was completely agreed by the outcome as these are the skills which I identified
during the assignment, I think that these skills are important for marketing industry as it required
future planning and self-tolerance in the industry. (Glassburn, McGuire and Lay 2019.)
CONCLUSION
After completing the assignment on marketing industry, I had learnt about many things, I
learned about my strengths, weakness about the topic which was assigned to me, before that the
concept of marketing industry was not clear to me, training of reflecting taught me to not
pressurize myself to complete the task as soon as possible. Lastly I concluded that all my skills
related to marketing industry suited this assignment very well, with this experience I learned
about how beneficial is finding about the strengths and weakness by own.
