1. Brief details about work experience and qualifications
The CV which is being analysed in this section has a work experience of
approximately eleven years as a mechanical engineer out of which seven years have been
spent Woking with the company of Descon Engineering Limited which is one of the
prominent companies’ of Pakistan. The next three years have been spent working with Al
Hasan Engineering Company from the province of UAE. Currently, the present position of
working is at the position Estimation Administrator with the esteemed organization
Interserve Engineering & Construction, UAE. These organizations are all reputed and
esteemed organizations of the country which makes the profile and work experience
valuable for the future endeavours of the person. The continuous growth of the persons
from one company to another and the stability in each of the company is one of the prime
factors that determined the interest of the person to work for a stable position in a
company and also to the fact that the person is professionally stable in the workforce.
The person has worked in three different types of companies for a prolonged period
of time having different levels of experience which make the person suitable for the various
job roles in the future span of time. The first job role in which the person has worked as an
estimation engineer from the company of Descon Engineering, Pakistan. In this job role, the
work experience was to analyse the tender documents and also to coordinate and follow-up
with the people having the cost behind it. The second role was to act as a bridge between
the estimation department and the further departments of the organization which helped
the organization to make sure that the work progress is right.

The second work experience done by the company as a Lead Estimation Engineer at
Al Hasan Engineering Company situated in the province of Abu Dhabi, UAE is to be a leader
in the process of estimation and also to generate the work schedule for the workers of the
place along with the measurement of the pre-bid documents. The responses and reports
had to be handled by the person in order to have informed latest technological innovations
in the span of time.
The third work experience which is also the present job role of the person is to work
as an Estimation Administrator at the province of Interserve Engineering and Construction
which is one of the prime companies at the country. The post requires the job role and work
experience to initiate Hard Dollars into the province of IEC companies for UAE, Qatar and
Oman. The standard work experience have to be in detailed analysis which make the
breakdown of the cost an important factor in the span of time. The overall contribution of
the person is to analyse the various factors of the process of engineering work and to
estimate the cost and other variable that can act as a supportive character in the span of
time.
By the qualification of the person, it can be said that he has a good level of
qualification which is evident in the fact that the person has a degree course in the field of
mechanical engineering. Other than that, the person also has a certificate course in Project
Management which makes him a Project Management professional which is one of the
prime courses for an engineering and management employee. Other than this, the person
also has performed the course in Risk Management course as has become a Risk
Management Professional. By qualification the person is well established and also has
computer skills in its list. The computer skills of Hard Dollar which is an Estimation Software,

MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Share Point, MS Project, Power BI, Primavera, AutoCAD, Adobe
Professional along with a thorough knowledge of internet and emails are there in the CV
which make the person perfect for a variety of software related jobs.
The person also has skills related to presentation, analysis and evaluation of matters,
communication and language skills among other making it one of the potential worker
working in the industry.
2. Self-assessment instruments
The self-assessment tool is one of the major ways to make sure that the strength and
weakness of the individual is being assessed which is used for the betterment of the
individual as well as the making critical decision about oneself in the span of time (Chaudhry
and Javed 2012). There are a number of self-assessment tools which help to make sure that
the pros and cons of the person can be assessed. Here strength, weakness, opportunity and
threat analysis has been used based on the CV provided –
Strength – The strength of an individual is assessed based on the capabilities of the person
in terms of the working and also for the personal characteristics features that is there in the
prolonged span of time (Deal et al. 2013). According to the CV analysed in the following
case, the strength of the person is the level of education and work experience that the
person has in terms of the work that he has done. He is a certified mechanical engineer
which has given him a good job with a good pay scale. He has also done other courses and
other ways of study which means that the experience in the different fields of study are
there in the process. He has done courses in Project Management and also has a degree in
the project risk management which make him one of the prone matters in terms of the work
that he is doing. He has done various types of work in the different fields of study which

means that the experience which he has gathered all these years has helped him to gain
insight into the place and also make sure that the work that he has done has given him
ample options to grow. The anticipation power of the person is high which means that that
he notices things around him and also to the fact that the he makes the most out of all the
measures and also to the fact that the power to absorb things are really high in the case.
The listening skills of the person are high which means that he has the opportunity to listen
to the people who are around him and to anticipate things that are worthy of the act.
Analysing the self-assessment tool, it has been identified that the candidate has strong
emotional intelligence skill, that can help in terms of understanding others’ emotion (refer
to Appendix 1 and Appendix 2).
Weakness – The weakness of the person according to the CV provided are the lack of
noticing things around the office in which the person works. The overall analysis of the
whole act makes up for the matter that he is too serious on his amount of judgement. The
quick response which is being given by the person at times are not worthy for his acts and
sometimes lands him in times of trouble.
Opportunity – The person has a number of opportunities in terms of the fact that he is able
to make sure that his job opportunities are open for the betterment of the individuals. In
addition, the analysis of the fact makes sure that the he has the opportunity to grow which
is for the fact one of the major opportunities in the case of any person’s career growth
stigma. The overall analysis of the act makes sure that the growth and challenge
opportunities of the person are worthy of the change and also to the fact that the
opportunity for the betterment of the person in terms of the act are measured in the time
span.

Threat – The threat for the person in terms of the CV that is being said is the competition
that the person has from other persons and also on the fact that the people of the
organization have in terms of their sayings. The overall threat of the person is assessed by
the fact that the competition from the people of the organization have in terms of the fact
that is there. The threat of the person is to be assessed to the fact that the overall analysis
of the person is being done in a lucid manner making the overall estimation of the task
worthy of the act.
Analysing the leadership theories of self-assessment, it can be said that each
theories have higher level of significance in terms of improving the analytical skill of a
person. Using the emotional intelligence theory, it becomes easier for the candidate to
understand others’ emotion. Behavioural theory of leadership helps to improve the
behavioural characteristics of a person. Using the situational leadership theory, it can be
easier to deal with different types of situation. On the other hand, transformational
leadership practices, help to manage a team by appreciating individuals’ creativity.
Part B
1. Analysis and reflection on two work experience
There are a number of work experience that is uncomfortable for the person which
is one of the prime factors that is there. The work of the person as an engineer after coming
from Pakistan to UAE was one of the major challenges that was faced by the person. The
new work environment took time for him to settle down and experience the idea in one of
the major spans of time. The overall analysis of the second work experience that proved to a
debacle in the sense is the client work that is being done by the person in the concerned
span of time. The people of the organization worked according to the various modes of

industries that is there for the span of time which means that the relation with the work to
the person is of least importance to the concerned.
The person must develop a personality development session with the person which
means that the overall analysis of the act is to be assessed. The personality development
traits that is being adhered by a person are the kinds and the factors of a person which
helps the person to be better in their own work and also to have a detailed analysis for the
working of the person in the concerned span of time.
The personality development traits that is being developed are the traits of
communication and the role of strict leadership to deliver good ways to make sure that the
working of the organization is being done in a proper manner and also to have detailed
analysis of the act in the span of time. The overall analysis of the act is to make sure that the
personality development traits are being analysed to help them in his field of work which
will help him to have better job prospects in the future span of time. The overall analysis of
the personal development is to be assessed to make sure that the personal development of
the person is being done.
The two traits of personal development which is one of the major cases in the case is
the analysis of the same. The two traits which are being assessed are the good leadership
skills which is strict and to-the point. Another major way for the person to be able to attend

1. Bio of a business leader from the mechanical engineering department – Nikola Tesla
Nikola Tesla was a famous mechanical engineer who subsequently went on to
become one of the most famous entrepreneurs and industrialist of all times. He was one of

field of modern mechanical engineering sector. The overall analysis of the biography of the
character tells out the importance of the man in terms of the department of mechanical

If I were to develop some of the skills regarding the leadership quality of the leader

understanding of the situation and working according to it so that the people who are
