business activities of the organisation to achieve set goals and objectives. Management work for
the organization and develop so many plans and strategies to operate functions of the
organization in an effective way.

1. Provide a summary of McDonald’s organisational history.
McDonald’s is largest restaurant chain in all over the world which serves a huge number of
customers globally to fulfill their wants. It opened its first Australian restaurants in the year
1971. McDonald’s grow its operations so fast now there are more than90000 employees who are
working in around 900 McDonald’s restaurants in all around the world. McDonald’s generate
annual sales approx. $4 billion by serving more than 1.7 million customers every day. There are
more than 36000 restaurants of McDonald’s in around 119 countries. There are so many
competitors available in the market which gives tough competition to McDonald’s like Pizza
Hut, Red Rooster, Dominos, KFC, Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill, Gomez and Guzman. McDonald’s
use so many innovative planning and strategies for making a strong position in the large
marketplace. To attract a huge number of customers McDonald’s given high focus on the taste of
food so that customer gets satisfy (Torkildsen, 2012). To compete with its competitors
McDonald’s adopt innovation and great marketing preferences for providing food according to
the current needs and preferences of customers. McDonald’s is a global innovator that makes its
strong position in challenging market by using effective approaches. In the market of United
Kingdom, McDonald’s has face slump experience which is resolved by the management by
using innovation and great strategies. The success of McDonald’s depends upon innovation and
effective formula which involves standardizing the quality of services. McDonald's generally
targeted young people and children who easily get attracted towards the food and get ready to
pay. There is so many problems faced by McDonald’s which is solved by the management by
looking at new initiatives and the new trend of the market. To attain high success and growth
McDonald’s analysis existing preferences and wants of customers accordingly they make
changes in the taste of food.
