INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is the plan of action that defines the strategies for
improvement and evaluates the level of skill of an individual. Personal skills and characteristics
of a person that help in performing assigned job roles effectively. Continuous enhancement of
skills and knowledge plays a crucial role in getting better career growth opportunity (Bogomaz,
Kozlova and Atamanova, 2015). For getting a better career growth opportunity, an individual
must focus on identifying their strengths, weakness and opportunities which help them and
taking corrective measures and working on their abilities that can contribute in getting more
employment opportunities and a better career growth. This report will define the self-analysis
which will quote strengths and weakness of an individual and create a career action plan which
will help in enhancing skills and knowledge within the specific time span.
TASK
PERSONAL ANALYSIS
Personal analysis approach helps in identifying personal skills. It is also known as self-
assessment activity that can define strengths and weakness of an individual. In other words, it is
identification of skills, knowledge and such self-assessment help in following passion and
choosing the right career path where an individual can effectively perform and bring constructive
changes to the organisation and overall industry (Bond and Blevins, 2020). Such analysis also
helps in enhancing the performance. With the help of self-assessment technique, several
strengths, weakness, knowledge and experience is discussed below:
STRENGTHS WEAKNESS
Communication skill- Communication
skill is a strength, as this skill has
helped in sharing the accurate message
and also help in understanding others
point of view by listening them. With
the help of fluent communication skill,
it was easier to gather all information
and valuable output by sharing
Commercial awareness- Due to lack of
commercial awareness, this affected
the ability to form decisions, identify
threats and risk which can adversely
influence the business and its
competitive position in the industry.
Finance management- Lack of finance
management skill this has affected the

information and knowledge that can
be useful for achieving the
organisational objectives.
Accountability- By being accountable
and responsible of the work it has
been assigned, this helps in building
trust and positive personal image
among others. Accountability skill
ensured responsibility and ability to
take responsibility for work.
Decision making ability- The ability to
form decisions has acted as strength
which helps in forming such decisions
that can support in the achievement of
organisational goals by using
constructive and innovative
approaches.
Motivational skills- Motivation is
driver of change and offers maximum
satisfaction and by being highly
motivated this strength has
encouraged in performing all assigned
activities effectively and in
participating more activities that can
be helpful for personal, professional
development and career growth
opportunities.
Adaptability- The ability to adapt the
change which is required has been
acted as a strength which encouraged
adaptability and increase flexibility
ability to manage all finances and
budget properly. Whereas, this led to
face many challenges and wastage as
the increased inability to utilize all
resources have created a negative
impact.
Time management- Due to lack of
time management skill, this has
affected the overall performance and
ability to accomplish objectives on
time. Lack of time management has
majorly led to delay in completion of
assigned activities.
Leadership skill- Due to lack of
leadership, this inability has affected
decision making ability and led to
wrong direction where organisation
goals are accomplished lately.
Technical knowledge- Absence of
technical skills has negatively
influenced opportunities and ability to
perform the daily activities which
have been assigned. Due to lack of
technical knowledge, this weakness
affected personal and professional
growth.
