and LIDL (Quadri, 2019). Furthermore in respect to ensure about motivation level as well as
satisfaction level of employees Jack as well as TESCO they are adopting two motivation theory
which are given below:-
Maslow's Need Hierarchy Theory
It is consider as one of the most widely used motivational theory that include needs of
staffs concerning to a company in the form of a triangle or pyramid. In respective theory
requirement as well as need of a person is divided into different stage and their priority level is
also differ like Physiological Needs is at lower stage and it is come at first number in priority list
because it include cloth, shelter and nutrition (Amankwah and Osabutey, 2019). Such as in
respect of TESCO who is opening its new segment i.e. Jack a new discount store for competing

so that they can ensure that their employees will always feel motivated and conduct work in
quality manner. Through adaptation of this model company also able to gain competitive
advantage at the marketplace. Below explanation of Maslow's Need Hierarchy Theory is given in
respect of Jack:-
Physiological Needs: Needs which are included in respective stage are nutrition, cloth
and shelter which are basic need of a person. In respect of this respect company may
offer their proper salary, bonus and other monetary benefits to employees.
Safety and Security Needs: The respective stage of Maslow's pyramid will be fulfill

Self-Actualization Needs: This phase of Maslow's pyramid will be attain by Jack a new
store of TESCO by offering proper training and development programmes on continuous
basis because that will fulfill opportunities related to self development.
Herzberg Two Factor Theory
It is also consider as another essential motivation theory which is used by a company at
the global level in order to enhance or boost their employee’s morale so that they perform
effectively for attaining company's desire goal. According to this theory, there are main two
factors which impact on the motivational level of employees i.e. motivation factor as well as
hygiene factor. In respect of motivation factor, employees get motivated through their job or staff
found motivation within their actual job role. On the other hand, hygiene factor are surrounded to
job but not totally linked with job but it impact on the performance of employees. So it is
essential for TESCO management to develop strategies by considering both hygiene and
motivational factors because both will help them in motivating staffs successful. This will
directly help in increasing employees performance and TESCO productivity.
CONCLUSION

necessary to conduct motivation strategies so that their employees feel motivated and perform
their work more effectively. Along with this they may also adopt numbers of theories or model
such as Herzberg Two Factor Theory as well as Maslow's Need Pyramid. Through this an
organization manager can motivate their staffs for conducting work in appropriate manner so that
they attain desire goal. Moreover it will also aid in conducting each and every activities in
systematic manner because along with being motivated staff also become organized.
