INTRODUCTION
Motivation is the process to encourage the employees in order to achieve the
organisational goal and objectives effectively. The present report is based upon Jack stores which
is going to be launched by Tesco(Duchardt and et., al., 2019). Entity is consider as the leading
retail company in UK. In order to compete the market firm have to offer discounts and come up
with the new idea of offering product and services at the minimum price. Further this report
encompasses the overview of motivation and role of the company. Further to improve the
motivation level firm must use theories as this help in providing better insight to encourage the
employees.
Motivation and its Importance
Motivation is the process of driving force which makes individual to complete the task as
per the organisational aims and objectives. The firm which are working across the global use
motivation as the tool to improve the level of productivity and the performance deliver by the
employees. When the firm improve the quality of service this build create the brand image in the
minds of employees as the motivation help in gaining these targets in the shorter time
span(Gillison and et., al., 2019). As the result they relay upon the organisational resources and
help in achieving corporates goals in the well define manner.
Theories of Motivation
Tesco is a British retail management organisation which leads in the domestic market
over the decade. This is has been identified by the organisation that rivals offer better services
to the consumer which create more competition in the existing market. In result this has become
an emerging trend for Tesco to maintain the market position. The companies like ALDI and
LIDL have become the choice of user over the period of time due to effective pricing policies in
the organisation.
By looking the situation the firm have decided to launch Jack store in coming future.
This can be the discounted stores which are introduced in UK with the view to enhance the sales
of the company. ALDI and LIDL have specialising the provision of offering product at low price
which help in attracting more and more customers in the well define manner. In this scenario the
firm wants that the staff at the new stores are motivated so that revenue and profit of the
