Section 1- Recruitment Trends
Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the intelligence that is demonstrated by machine,
unlike the natural intelligence that is displayed by animals and human beings. Although AI is
far from the abilities of human cognitive, there are many modern machines that can learn,
make the difficult decisions and think (Reilly 2019). In contemporary wold, AI is use in the
recruitment process in order to try automating the process of recruitment and to discover the
new ways of hiring potential candidates and talents. AI provides with an opportunity for
automating the low level tasks and at the same time, provides the decision makers with some
more detailed data and information. It helps in reducing the costs of operational as well. The
contemporary software has numerous benefits other than just automating the administrative
workload. With the same, there is presence of more specialised software that allows the
employers to see how the potential candidates in the market demonstrate their skills in
practice (Upadhyay and Khandelwal 2018). One of the best example to consider in this
context of how AI is helping in the recruitment process is that of the use of ‘Filtered’ by the
tech talent recruiting companies for testing the candidates, making use of many coding
challenges that are automatically generated.
There are many benefits of using AI in the process of recruitment. Every HR staffs are
required to choose the right people from a long list of applicants. AI is helping in dividing the
whole process in several segments, automatically. The recruiters can now collect more
number of data and information about every candidates and can easily evaluate these
candidates more efficiently and effectively. The Ai-based solutions helps in assessing the
experiences and skills of the candidates by making use of special algorithms (He 2018).
Secondly, AI gives the HR managers the opportunity of selecting the candidates on the basis
of their abilities and skills so that they are placed in the right position where these skills and
abilities are mostly required. It not only helps in increasing the business productivity but at
the same time, also motivated the candidates in improving their skills. With the same, one of
the most significant benefit of AI in recruitment is that it saves a lot of time. Like in any other
industry, time is valuable in recruitment industry as well. AI provides several solutions for
estimating the skills of the candidate and by making unbiased decisions unlike the human
interventions.
For achieving the desired graduate role, it is suggested that student should start self-
assessing and understanding himself and at the same time, identify his strengths and

I want to opt for the role of Financial Products Analytics and Sales Internship. I have
chosen this graduate job as of the fact that I have a strong interest in the field of finance and
the financial markets. I also have the right educational qualification for applying for this job
as I am already a student of finance and have interest in technology. With the same, I also
possess the necessary skills that are required for this particular job and in line with this, I also
have ample of criteria already fulfilled. I love dealing with people and have the potential of
making networks and building relationships effortlessly. One of the most significant of all
aspects of mine is that of the skill of problem solving that I possess. It is to note that I am
very good in problem solving in systematic and intuitive manner. I always work through
details for reaching the solution to the problem. I also consist of the ability to strive in driven
environments. Hence, I believe that I am suitable for this role as my graduate job.

world. It is based in Sydney and belongs to technology and mass media industry. The
company provides financial software tools like data services, equity trading platform,
analytics and news to the financial firms and organisations with the help of its Bloomberg
Terminal (Arkoudas and Yahya 2018). It connect all the decision makers to a dynamic
network of data, ideas and people. The company also engages in the problem-solving aspects
related to hearing and engages in finding solutions which will be best for the overall future of

the society. I would love to work with this multinational company as I always dreamt of
working for MNCs in my future and also, all the required skills, qualifications and education
to hold the position of Financial Products Analytics and Sales do match with my own. I have

for it (Glassdoor.co.in 2019). One of the significant aspects of this company that has attracted
me more towards working for it is the fact that after completing my internship, I will be given
the opportunity of joining its renowned Sydney Sales and Analytics Rotation program as a
full-time employee. I believe that it would be a great opportunity for me and my professional
career. Furthermore, I have also found that Bloomberg do not discriminate its people based

will also expose me to its vast range of products and clients through hands-on experiences. I

As far as my personal values, strengths, skills and capabilities are concerned, I would
like to state that I have a personality of a Mediator. It means that, I have a rather introvert
personality which then restricts me as a person and stands in the way of assisting me to

How did you manage to get the task done on time?
There was a particular time back in the beginning of the University where I was required

My mock interview went well and I successfully answered all the questions that were
asked to me very efficiently. However, I would like to mention that although the mock
interview process went as per my plan and thoughts, there were certain areas where I feel like
I could have been performed much better. Firstly, after coming out of the room, I realised that
I could have demonstrate better body language inside. Many of the times, I was rubbing my

eyes during the interview and I think my professor would be giving me negative marks for
this. I should have controlled myself from doing this. Also, I could have carried out my
demeanour in the correct way and should have also ensured that I was able to meet the panel
in the eye. In addition to this, I could have ensured that I should have been able to associate
with the different panellists in the right manner which would have then allowed me to remain
very confident in the entire interview procedure.
However, I believe that I can learn from this interview session and could make further
improvements to ensure that I do not repeat the same mistake. I will surely work on these
negative attributes of mine and try to conduct a good rapport with the various panellists and
would undertake the idea regarding my overall body language that will be allowing me to
face the different interviews in the long run.
Section 5b- My Personal Insight Journey- Reflection
In line of the given coursework, I would like to mention that this coursework has been
essentially very useful and gone a long way in helping me to understand my overall
objectives and goals along with gaining an understanding of my personal standing. The
coursework assisted me in finding out my overall strengths as well as the weaknesses which
helped me in the formation of an appropriate action plan. The unit also explained the overall
importance of the right approach to gaining a job and it is with the help of this, that I was able
to identify, the right measures of cover letter and resume to approach a job opportunity and
the manner in which I should apply my skills to get the job which I aim to achieve.
The particular unit was very useful in assisting me to meet with clarity with respect to
what I would like to undertake in the future of the firm and in line of this, it has gone a long
way in making me job ready. Now I am thoroughly prepared to undertake various interviews
and ensure overall success in the long run.
