Section 1- Recruitment Trends
Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the intelligence that is demonstrated by machine,
unlike the natural intelligence that is displayed by animals and human beings. Although AI is
far from the abilities of human cognitive, there are many modern machines that can learn,
make the difficult decisions and think (Reilly 2019). In contemporary wold, AI is use in the
recruitment process in order to try automating the process of recruitment and to discover the
new ways of hiring potential candidates and talents. AI provides with an opportunity for
automating the low level tasks and at the same time, provides the decision makers with some
more detailed data and information. It helps in reducing the costs of operational as well. The
contemporary software has numerous benefits other than just automating the administrative
workload. With the same, there is presence of more specialised software that allows the
employers to see how the potential candidates in the market demonstrate their skills in
practice (Upadhyay and Khandelwal 2018). One of the best example to consider in this
context of how AI is helping in the recruitment process is that of the use of ‘Filtered’ by the
tech talent recruiting companies for testing the candidates, making use of many coding
challenges that are automatically generated.
There are many benefits of using AI in the process of recruitment. Every HR staffs are
required to choose the right people from a long list of applicants. AI is helping in dividing the
whole process in several segments, automatically. The recruiters can now collect more
number of data and information about every candidates and can easily evaluate these
candidates more efficiently and effectively. The Ai-based solutions helps in assessing the
experiences and skills of the candidates by making use of special algorithms (He 2018).
Secondly, AI gives the HR managers the opportunity of selecting the candidates on the basis
of their abilities and skills so that they are placed in the right position where these skills and
abilities are mostly required. It not only helps in increasing the business productivity but at
the same time, also motivated the candidates in improving their skills. With the same, one of
the most significant benefit of AI in recruitment is that it saves a lot of time. Like in any other
industry, time is valuable in recruitment industry as well. AI provides several solutions for
estimating the skills of the candidate and by making unbiased decisions unlike the human
interventions.
For achieving the desired graduate role, it is suggested that student should start self-
assessing and understanding himself and at the same time, identify his strengths and

weaknesses to find out the areas that require further improvements in order to achieve the
goal of getting the graduate role. With the same, they should always focus on the long term
goals must never let perfection the enemy of their starting career. Also, it is recommended to
prepare a CV that best demonstrates their skills, attributes, areas of excellence and work
experience.
