1 Project Description (3 marks)
The aim of the proposal is to ensure that the problem that is faced by the Australian university students is
being resolved. It has been observed that more than 10,000 tertiary level students were homeless. This
became one of the major problems faced by the Australian University. Major centres in Australia have
suffered from a huge lack in having an affordable housing available despite of the apartment boom in cities
like Sydney and Melbourne. The project will focus on eradicating the challenges faced by the students. The
focus is one developing proper housing facilities that will help in providing better services towards the
customers. Housing is a facility that is provided towards the student safety and security. With the facility of
Housing the students will be provided with a proper stable launch pad from which the people will be able to
get proper resources to stay. The main aim behind this project is to ensure that each student of the university
is provided with proper facilities of housing.

1.1 Opportunity/Problem (1 mark)
The project aims at providing the housing facilities towards all the university students so that they can
ensure a better lifestyle towards the student. The homeless students faces several challenges particularly
those who have been living on their own, have experienced significant emotional trauma. Thus it becomes
very essential to provide them with proper facilities so that they can engage themselves entirely for the
study performance. Apart from this it has been also observed that the health of homeless people gets
impacted immensely. The main issue that is addressed related to the homelessness is the mental stress that
is being faced by the students.
After analysing the Australian university student it has been observed that the student who came from
different parts of world for pursuing their course are the most impacted individuals. Thus it can be stated
that they are the major stakeholders in this project. This project has identified that the main risks are on the
students becoming homeless. Thus it becomes essential to develop a program that will be able to provide
better housing facility towards the students.
The main problem that arises with the homelessness of Australian university student is that it has the
potential to impact the mental state of the students. This further causes huge damage towards the health
condition. The recent survey stated that due to high costing of housing has left the students with no money.

This further impacts the academic performance in the university. The problem is faced by maximum number
of the students of Australian university.
1.2 Proposed Project (1 mark)
The main aim behind implementing the housing facility is to ensure that the students of the Australian
university are provided with proper facilities that will enhance their performance. The housing facility will be
sponsored by the Australian Federal community for ensuring that efficient housing facilities including all the
expenses are offered within minimum costs towards the students. The main aim behind developing housing
facility is that it ensures effective healthcare facilities towards the people. Housing includes offering a stable
launch pad for managing jobs, mental stress and substances for maintaining a daily lifestyle. Housing is being
considered as the basic fundament rights for every citizen. The project will ensure that the housing is being
developed with minimum costs. This innovative solution will ensure that the project is being executed
effectively without major challenges. The project will be developed based on the student’s requirement and
the budget will be kept low so that they can provide better services with minimum costing. The homelessness
challenge has huge potential impact on society as it impacts the mental health condition of the homeless
peoples.
