1NETWORK AND CONTENT ANALYSIS PROPOSAL Research Title: Network and content analysis for online controversies such as Phishing and the spread on similar issues on the internet. Basic Research Problem: The issue that is being considered for the research is online problems such as Phishing and their impact on organizations such as Google. The internet is a place that gets very heavy traffic in the present times. This causes significant issues such as posting false or controversial information on the internet about large brands. This ultimately harms significantly the brand image of various companies. Theories: The theories of Ackland (2013) in regards to how sampling techniques can be used for social media research have been consulted. Other consulted literatures include Garimella et al. (2018) work on the social media controversy analysis. The main theory that would be focused would be related to network and content analysis and their various aspects. Research Questions: Can network and content analysis be used for effectively identifying the posts that cause controversies such as phishing? What are the exact types of content that lead to phishing the online world?

Methodology: The methodology that would be used would focus on the usage of quantitative data. Moreover, focus will be on positivism research philosophy to provide a significant outlook of the topic. The opinion gathered from the respondents would be used to explore and evaluate the topic effectively. Sampling: The literatures that have been created in the last 5 or 6 years would be consulted. This would ensure that the relevance of the study is maintained. Survey would be conducted among 30 respondents gathered through non-probability sampling.
