Executive Summary
A small media organisation is opening another office in Sydney Australia. Every department
have various offices, sharing information, programming, program and different application
that should be available over local area network. The fundamental objective of LAN is to
associate and convey every PC of the department. Contingent on the gadget like PCs,
portable, printer, scanner, copiers in every department LAN association must be plan. It is
independent company so proper ISP must be recognized and gadgets prerequisite must be
adjusting as per the distinctive department. After the gadget choice, logical and physical
format must be plan for a network.

Introduction
System and security training requires however much hands-on tests as could reasonably be

their office space, they have leased an entire floor in a place of business in the Sydney CBD.
The leased office space is 40 m long, 35 m wide and 3.2 m high. There will be four offices

Propose Technology
From the above proposed technology, we need two routers, a switch and a server. We have
four different departments that is print, editorial, video and administration. For different
departments commuications, LAN and wireless network have been set-up[1].

This standard have number of correction and understanding like 802.11 a,b ......,h and so
forth. The system association is built up by radio wave innovation which have 2.4 GHz

is accommodation, expandability, more prominent portability[2].
• Ethernet technology(LAN): It is the conventional innovation that PCs are associated by wire
in a neighborhood) that empower PC to speak with one another. It falls under IEEE802.3
standard. Its fundamental favorable position is, it is straightforward innovation where system
is tied with numerous links with ensured transfer speed.

• Virtual private system: This is the innovation which makes a sheltered association with the
less secure system. This innovation help to permit remote and branch office to get to the
workplace application and assets. This innovation incorporates secret key and other one of a
kind ID to get to the workplace application and assets[3].
Logical Layout
When designing a network we should have 4 subnet since News organisation has four
departments. This enables data to flow effectively[4].

Physical design is significant for organize association, so we should allocate IP address for
every gadget associated in arrange. ISP gives us an open and private IP address, so we should
subnetting the IP address and dole out IP for organize gadgets[5].

Recommendation and Conclusion
In conclusion, department requirement must fulfil and setup computer network that ensure all
employee must access all document and resource of company according to the company
policy. The logical and physical layout must be implement along with planning and design
that improve interaction between different departments that’s help to progress organisation
outcomes.
