Summary
As of numerous publications on the field of networking, there has been a
significant rise in the importance for designing of networks, IP address and
subnets, routing protocol and access control in improving efficiency and
effectiveness of networks. First the report is to list the requirements derived from
the information gathered from the site visit on Ciox Health Melbourne. Then the
network design is to be presented and the network operations explained followed
by the IP addressing. Next the routing protocol and access control list is to be
explained before listing the full configurations of switches and routers. Then the
configuration of the hosts, servers and access points are given after which report
mentions the estimates for timeline and budget before ending with conclusions.

Introduction
The below report attempts to focus on the significant rise in the
importance for designing of networks, IP address and subnets, routing protocol
and access control to improve efficiency and effectiveness of networks. The
report begins by listing the requirements derived from the information gathered
from the site visit on Ciox Health Melbourne. Then the network design is
presented and the network operations explained followed by the IP addressing.
Next the routing protocol and access control list get explained before listing all
the configurations of switches and routers. Then the configuration of the hosts,
servers and access points are given. After this the report provides the estimates
for timeline and budget before ending with conclusions.
Requirements of the Network
The network setup of Ciox Health must include the network of the HQ as well as
that of all the other sites which obtain internet access from the headquarters.
The overall network infrastructure of Ciox Health is to consist of a mix of both
wired and wireless networks which can serve workstations, servers as also
smartphones and tables.
It is a must for every network segment of the Ciox health network to support a
WLAN network that can seamlessly connect all the wireless devices present
there.
Security measures must be implemented on the network as both the sites and
the headquarters have to deal with sensitive customer information.
For facilitating effective network connections for the portable devices used on
the premises, the wireless access points installed must be able to create and
custom subnets for the wireless network access provided.
The headquarters of the company Ciox Health must contain a dedicated server
for configuring the networks of the workplace and the two other sites that are
directly connected.
