Summary
As per several researches published so far, it is clear how important network
designs, routing protocols, security and VLANs in network can be in improving
operating effectiveness of any organization. The report touches on such a
network that is being designed for the company Big W. First this report describes
the scope of the project which is derived from the operational workflow acquired
from the site visit. The report then presents the network design and discusses it
based on the company’s requirements. After that the IP address table of various
network segments get mentioned. Thereafter the routing protocol is described
along with access privilege setup with ACL commands. Then after providing the
schedule and budget the report ends with concluding notes.

Introduction
The report below tries to highlight the importance of network designs,
routing protocols, security and VLANs in network for improving operating
effectiveness of any organization. This report touches on such a network that is
being designed for the company Big W. The report starts by listing the scope of
the project which is derived from the operational workflow acquired from the site
visit. The report then presents the network design and discusses it based on the
company’s requirements. After that the IP address table of various network
segments get mentioned. Thereafter the routing protocol is described along with
access privilege setup with ACL commands. Then after providing the schedule
and budget the report ends with conclusions.
Project Requirements and Network Scope
i) The customer should be able to purchase products online or ask of a service assistance.
ii) If the customer decides to order a product, he or she should be able to avail any of the
online payment methods, like net banking or credit card transaction.
iii) Once the order gets confirmed the delivery from the warehouse must be initiated.
iv) For security reasons, only the warehouse can access information from other departments
that is other departments cannot access warehouse information
