1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Rationale of research
In the restaurant industry, organisations mainly focus on providing best hospitality
services to their clients. Notorious for bringing the good times, design attractive food and
ambience reflect main aim of such organisations. In present case, restaurant just want to just sell
alcohol and food to customers, but they are looking forward to sell feelings, where clients can
spend their precious time and feel escape from routine work and stress (Fallin and et. al., 2014).
This present research is on DSRKT Restaurant and Bar which is situated in Rupert Street
on London, UK. This firm works on having an idea about restaurant in nightclub. This Pan-Asian
restaurant and bar is based on multi-cusine theme that offers a wide range of foods. In order to
enhance hospitality experience and bring good times at restaurant, it is going to launch
nightclubs with one floor, one place that is separated with big glass wall. The aim of research is
to highlight strategies to design, develop and open nightclub in single space of restaurant. This
will robust the hospitality services of the new up DSTRKT Restaurant and make it able to gain
high sustainable competitive advantage as well.
The reason for conducting this research is to explore the idea and knowledge base of
learner in specific area of study.

This is management research which helps a researcher in developing management
knowledge that creates value in attempting their nurture projects in an appropriate
manner.
1.2 Aims and Objectives
Aim:
To investigate the idea of having a restaurant in a nightclub.
According to opinion of LORRI MEALEY (2019), it has been stated that having
restaurant in nightclub is a good and attractive idea. Running a nightclub sound like job of full of
glamour and glitz. Under this, if restaurant will be open in a nightclub then this concept will
attract the people and also will be helpful in enhancing sales. The restaurant sell food to
consumers and nightclub sell the alcohol and provide the dance floor to people. This
combination will beneficial for people because they can get both things at one place.
Objectives:
Look into how good food and ambience could sustain customers for longer period at
restaurant to get them into night club
To identify the benefits and drawbacks of having a restaurant in a nightclub.
2 LITERATURE REVIEW
Literature review refers to kind of review article that provide current knowledge
consisting the substantive findings along with theoretical information (Hart, 2018). For
conducting this part, investigator uses the secondary sources for an instance book, journals,
articles etc. The literature review is both explanation and summary of current knowledge
statement related to specific research topic. Under this view points and opinions of different
authors are used to collect the information in literature review part.
2.1.1 Concept of designing good food and ambience
According to view point of Kitterlin-Lynch, Curtis and Cervera, (2015), it has analysed
that when customers enters into a restaurant, the first thing they used to notice is ambience.
Whatever it includes like colours, lights, furniture, music, courteous or well-dressed staff, leaves
a mark on their perception, before consume any services. After getting relaxation from attractive
ambience, they further seek to get enjoyable dining experience. All these thing including tasty

and variety of national and international traditional foods, will help in retaining them for longer
period.
As mentioned by Shuriye and Daud, (2014), there are a range of approaches that could be
utilised in order to bring modifications among existing systems of the hotel to run both
restaurants and nightclubs at the same time. With the help of this, managers and leaders of
restaurants could expect good returns on investments made by the restaurants.
2.1.2 Benefits and drawbacks of having a restaurant in a nightclub
On the basis of view point of Michael Wolfe (2017) it has been stated that it is a big and
unique concept to bring the change in system of hotel by running the restaurant at nightclubs.
In this modern business era, hotel is the most developing industry that also helps in creating
opportunities for people. Restaurant is a profitable sector that is based on service industry and
basically focused
on providing effective food facilities to their customers. Now a day's organisations within
services industry are work together for the purpose of attaining higher growth and success.
Restaurants are making collaboration with night clubs or hotels in respect to gaining more
profitability and growth. A restaurant within nightclub is effective in providing food and other
facilities to the customers. There are various benefits and drawbacks of having a restaurant in

Drawbacks of having restaurant in nightclub:

customers, thus it is essential for both the parties to pay extra amount for taking benefits
of night club and restaurant.

Due to high crowed, workers are not able to serve in appropriate manner thus this create
dissatisfaction of customers and has a direct influence on the operations of both

3. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is considered as most important part of a dissertation. It can be
defined as a process for collecting relevant data and information to make appropriate business
decisions (Bell, Bryman and Harley, 2018). It provides various techniques which make research
more reliable and valid. It also helps in addressing the issues for achievement of aims and
objectives of a research. This part of research includes methodologies that help in preparing a
report more appropriately. It consists primary and secondary research techniques, which provide
different-different sources to obtain necessary information (De Visser-Amundson, De Korte and
Williams, 2016). This present report is based on the idea of having a restaurant in a nightclub
and also its benefits or disadvantages. Under this research, it is essential for management of
DSTRKT Restaurant to establish consumers' need before, opening a Nightclub within restaurant.
For collecting and analysing information, researcher uses the different techniques which are
mention below as above:
Primary Research: Under this section, original information related to open restaurant in
night club by DSRKT Restaurant and Bar is collected by using primary sources. It includes
online and offline surveys, questionnaire, focus group discussion and more. For example: To
ascertain the opinion and response of clients, research team of DSTRKT Restaurant can use
online survey method. This would help in interpreting their opinion for enhancing hospitality
services and giving out facilities accordingly. Therefore, as compared to secondary research,
primary one consider as more costly and time consuming. But it serves relevant information,
specific need and control biases.
The main reason behind using primary method is that it provides reliable and accurate
data or information.
It helps in saving time and cost.
Through this method, large size data can be collected with in short period of time.
Secondary Research: Information under this research is obtained by reviewing opinion
of other researchers. Here, past data is extracted from internet, newspapers, articles and books to
gather relevant information on a particular topic. Here, they can explore various articles and
research from internet, which has already done by other researchers.
Qualitative Research method : This is being considered as one of an effective method
that could be used by a research at the time of obtaining data through open-ended and

conversational communication. Basically, the data which is being gathered considering this
approach, is carried on the basis of perceptions, thinking, feelings and so on of respondents.
Quantitative Research Method : This type of methods specifically, emphasize objective
measurements and the statistical, mathematical, or numerical analysis of data collected through
polls, questionnaires, and surveys, or by manipulating pre-existing statistical data using
computational techniques (Fiave, 2018).
In present investigation, researcher is going to use qualitative research method for
conducting the overall research so that to pull out favourable outcomes in specific time frame.
Sampling Method: In order to collect right information in correct time, random
sampling method has been used. For collect the information to know about the opinion of people
about opening restaurant in night club, researcher will select the respondents. With the help of
this, a range of respondents are going to be selected from public in order to collect relevant data
for conductive the investigation. Through this, research could easily pull out right amount of
information in order to successfully complete the overall investigation.
Timeline
It refers to presentation of chronological sequence of the events with drawn line that help
viewer to understand the relationship quickly. The timeline is display of list of activities which
formed in a sequential manner. Under this, Gantt chart is used on which activities are mention
according to the time. It is construed with horizontal axis that representing total time of project.
Limitations
While going through the overall investigation, there were a range of areas came in front
where investigator basically faced a range of issues and led overall investigation to become less
effective in nature. Therefore, it can easily be said that the research needed to be completed right
on time, since there was no relevant information was being carried out which ultimately
impacted negatively on submitting the project (De Visser-Amundson, De Korte and Williams,
2016).
Specifically, researcher while conducting a research, cost is one of a limitation which
impacts upon in depth knowledge for a chosen topic. Here, estimated cost did not helped
investigator in pulling out the most estimated outcomes.

Time is also being considered as another limitation which hampered the situation
researcher which impacted upon delivering the overall research report to academician on
time.
CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from above mention report that restaurant in a nightclub provide
the profit as well as competitive advantage to business. It is a wider concept and an effective way
to attracting the people. In order to collecting the relevant information, secondary method is used
in conducting the literature review part. In part of literature review, benefits and drawbacks of
having the restaurant in nightclub has been discussed to know about the effectiveness. In this
research, qualitative method has been used because it provides the theoretical information.
Primary and secondary methods has been used to collect the relevant information and data about
the specific research area.
