SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR THE APPROVAL OF NEW POSITIONS IN THE COMPANY
I would like to write to you this email to inform you about the new changes that are currently
going on in the college and request for your approval. As the college’s CEO, you are privy with
the on-going expansions at the college. For the last one year, we have been establishing a new
campus in which we plan to enroll an additional 300 students. For us to achieve this, the
management has invested lots of finances to fund the new institution to ensure that it has the
state-of-art facilities, and personnel.
Following the expansion, we, as a department, have made decided to create for additional
positions in the college. The proposed positions include the campus principal, deputy principal,
registrar, accountant, librarian, academic officers, researchers, and the head of departments. The
justification for the establishment of these positions is that they are necessary and cannot be done
without. The new campus must have all these professionals because they are the ones who will
be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the teaching, learning, and administrative duties.
The campus principal will be responsible for all the affairs of the new campus (Kang & Shen,
2017). Each of the other departmental heads will be in charge of the running of their respective
departments within the campus. However, all these employees will have to be answerable to the
college administration.

It is my pleasure to request your office to approve these new positions. The decision to create
them was made in line with the college’s Recruitment and Selection Policy and Procedures,
which advocate for fairness, transparency, accountability, and organized hiring and recruitment
process. The creation of these positions relies on your approval (Nielsen, 2015). Your approval
means a lot to us because without it, we might not have the goodwill it takes to expand the
college and equip it with the right and most desired caliber of personnel who recruitment will be
done rightly. Thank you.
