1. Policies ans procedures of the Book Cafe group incudes that manager is responsible for
performing major responsibility of recruitment and selection of staff and provide training of
required personnel and other supporting documentations. It includes that HR department will
support role of managers. In this organisation all interviews will be conducted by trained
selection panel.
2. In 2019 recruitment and selection polices of Book Cafe group, advertisement policy for all
vacant and new position will be advertise internally and externally. Where as in year 2000 Book
cafe group recruitment and selection policy includes that all positions will be first advertised
internally for minimum of ten working days unless there is special authorisation form senior
management.
3. The key areas that have been identified in each procedure is that company needs to select and
recruit employees with in two to three weeks maximum. Position analysis will be performed in
all vacant or new positions of the business. Advertisement for selecting candidate will be done
internally and externally.

candidates information, privacy and security for candidates, social media platforms, use of
correct and optimise recruitment funnel.

system and recruiting software. Both of these sources are significant as they are able to provide
expert advice and skills training so that all task and practices related to recruitment and selection
can be improved.

vacant position. After this company will shortlist the employees and eliminate all those
candidates. Interview will be conducted by head office and reference will be check for selected
employees.
b) Outsourcing refer as the business practices in which company is hiring third party for
performing and conducting different activities of organisation.
c) The purpose of employee contract and industry relation is to develop and create effective and
strong relationship with customers as well as motivating them to work effectively.
d) There are different legislation and regulation that is important for company to consider in
business practices. This includes equality act, human right commission, discrimination act and so
on. All of these act are significant for providing direction to company for successfully
performing recruitment and selection practices.
e) Terms and condition of employment are important as this is significant for directing
employees to work appropriately and accurately with in organisation. This will assist in
maintaining discipline with in company.
f) Psychometric and skill testing programs are effective for successful for recruitment as this will
help recruiter to identify the actual skills and capability of employees so that correct employee
can be selected.

a) Vacant position analysis – Company will provide notice or email to all department of
company for determining requirements. Checklist includes email, notice, conformation form
department manager.
b) Position description – In this HR manager will identify the needs of company and determine
exception form employees for successfully performing business practices. Checklist include
skills, qualification, knowledge of employees.
c) Advertisements and promotion – For placing advertisement and promotion for job vacant
permission for the head department or management needs to be taken. After this strategies will

role, online portal and so on.
d) Short listing – In this organisation will identify the actual capabilities of candidates and
compare it with the need and requirement of organisation. Short-listing checklist includes
organisation expectation, skill needs and capabilities of employees.
e) Interview preparation – This is complex procedures and in this company will determine the
expert who have potential to take interview and successful analyse the strength or weakness of
candidate. Checklist of interview include communication skill, technical knowledge and other
skills or capabilities.
f) Interviewing applicants – This refer as screening of resume and communicating with candidate
with the motive of gaining in depth detail and information about candidates. Checklist includes
