Apart this reviews about effectiveness of application to respective company via various model, concept and theories is done. TASK 3 P3: Application of product life cycle stages Nail Salon is one of the popular salon in the community that provide different services to customer such as nail enhancement, manicures, pedicures, hair spa, skin smoothing etc. The management of salon is planning to launch new services named “Advance face cure” that help in removing of dark circle. In order to success of their project management needs to on the demand of targeted customer that is established by administration research in market. PLC (Product life cycle) is defined as crucial marketing concept that help to ascertain the stages of product or services from development to devolution from market. The cycle is divided within four parts such as initiation, planning, execution and closure (Chen, Hou and Wang, 2011). Initiation: Management of Nail salon need to determine the business issues, actual needs and opportunities so that services can be managed and control in better manner. At this stage company need to figure out the objective of services and make sure that weather they are feasible or not. In case of Nail salon, they first need to overlook the problem that could be arise while launching new service such as large number of rivals, price issue etc. then they need to determine the ways that help in overcoming the issue. For example they can provide additional cream to interested customer who are willing to take the packages. Mainly the stages includes the procedure to find out scope of business, deliverable time and the exact need for launching new business. Planning:This is the second stage of PLC that is related to making of effective plans that help to survive well in the competitive market. The stage is mainly related to work statements, 1

business plans etc. The manager of Salon focus to make plans related to setting of price, quality of services that help to draw attention of large number of customer. This is mainly a lengthy process as management first of all analyse the market trends, competition providing the same services etc. that help them to take useful decision for the betterment of their services. It will take around approx 3 to 4 week as it is not easy to communicate to the targeted customer regarding new services launched by Nail salon. Execution:- It is a third stage of project life cycle which include the execution of plan, it is likeconvert planning into actions. Execution help the organisation to fulfil their goals and objectives.Manager of Nail salon's company execute the plane and move further for the execution . This process required timely meeting with the employees, briefing of plan and also want review from workers which help the manager to keep on track (Drucker, 2012). Manager of Nail salon need to build team who can lead them and provide proper long run vision for the success. For the execution of plan, leader need to provide proper briefing which specify that what exactly they have to do. Employees need to ensure that client will be satisfy with the service or not. So communication is the best part to know about whether client satisfied with the service or not. For example: - Nail salon introduce one time offer for the customers that is first 100 clients get 20 percent discount on beauty services. Company need to manage time as well as cost, so provide beauty services to the customers as fast they can do. Which directly affect the quality management. Employee have to provide best quality of services with less time ad low wastage of beauty products. Company need to manage lots of customer at the same time with the full of quality services. Closure:- In the final stage, work almost complete and the role of manager is going to close. Before closing any project manager need to do few things which include the meeting of all team members regarding project review (Mir and Pinnington, 2014.). Discussion will be on strength or weakness of plan and the requirement of any improvement or not. This is the phase where leader recognise the members and appreciate them regarding their work and efforts. In the last step manager need to analyse project performance, team analysis, closure of project and post implementation review. Project performance include that cost and benefits is accurate or not and how project is managed. Team analysis means every member of the group done their work or not. In the project closure, it involve the official closure of the project life cycle. Last activity is to analyse that project is done successfully or not that is called post 2
implementation review. For example: - Manager analyse the performance through comparing actual cost on each client or pre- decided cost on single customer. After this company analysing team work and how single member contribute in this plan. Also check that work is don on time or not and at the end of the day target is achieved or not (Mitchell, 2013). Business case: Company OverviewIt is a specialist beauty salon who provide nail care services such as nailenhancement,manicuresandpedicures.Othersalonsalso provide the same services but those employee work in the nail salon called nail technicians. Currently 40 percent of woman in the nail salon from Vietnamese. This company also known by the nail bar. Vision & MissionVision of the company is to provide the quality service to their customers, so each and every client will be satisfied with the nail salon services. Mission of the company is to improve their quality onregularbasisandprovidefriendlyenvironmenttotheir customers so they feel comfortable in the duration of consuming services (Robichaud and Anantatmula, 2010). ObjectivesObjective of the company is to satisfy their customers so they come back in the future for the further treatment. Provide best quality services at the reasonable price. StrategiesNail salon company create new nail designs for the customers which attract them on regular basis. Build customer relation because it is also helpful to retain existing customers and making new one. Business plan: CostCost of Nail care services is differ according to the customer requirement but individual it will take approx.£100 to£200. CommunicationAll the employees of Nail salon conduct a meeting regarding their regular feedback and any other suggestion which is further used in the nail care services. 3

For example, launching new service into competitive market by salon has the primary objective to attract large number of people those are looking for some updates in manicure and pedicure or facial services. This also help company to earn huge profit as all other companies do not provide advance services in market. The description involves aim, scope and difficulties that may be faced by Nail salon in future (Singh and Khanduja, 2012). Determinants of stakeholders and their roles and responsibilities:All those parties that help in smooth functioning of business and support in increasing profit are known as stakeholders they includes customer, suppliers etc. In case of Nail salon they main focus of team working on new services is to provide best and pleasing services to their customer. They use to promote their newly developed face care services so that more number of customer can be attracted. Customer wants the best services as they always look for the best option that can fulfil their need and requirement. As they will be attracted by the new services of Nail salon that help salon to increase profit and gain goodwill. Work breakdown structure: It is a breakdown structure of project management where work is distributed in the small elements. Waterfall model: Waterfall model is the project management methodology, In this model each phase must be completed before starting a next phase, there is no overlapping system. It is the earliest SDLC approach which is used for dividing software development (Thomas, Cicmil and George, 2012). Each stage is planned for performing specific activity during SDLC. Nail salon follow this model and makes planning according to this. It provides nail care services like as pedicures, manicures and skin beauty care services also. In this model we have to prepare plans firstly then start to work, before starting next work we should completed first. following stages should be follow to accept this model- Requirement Analysis:It means requirements be well authenticated or documented before any other project work begin, the project manager is likely to spend time during this phase and start to gather information. This is done by development team that includes interface designers, programmers, other specialist. It helps to analysis work progress, conception, design and testing to make effective task. System is formed in small programs known as units,which are integrated in next phase. Deployment of system:This means bringing resources in to effective action in customer environment after completed testing and releasing software. It helps to meet customer's need and wants in effective manner. Maintenance:This includes various issues which generates in the client environment. To solve these issues, patches should be released and also helps to enhance the product in better way released. In Nail salon maintenance is done after delivering these changes in customer surroundings and client get satisfaction from all services. CONCLUSION From the above report, it has been stated that operation and project management is significance for almost each businesses that help to execute and perform business activities in proper manner. It help an organisation to launch new product or service in market just because their valuable process that further support to gain various methods and technicians. PLC benefit company like Nail salon to evaluate effective methods that support them to survive profitable in market for long term. Management of respective company use to evaluate the PLC to calculate the actual performance by applying the concept of waterfall model. As it is mainly implemented to enlarge scope and capabilities of newly established business or services. 6
