INTRODUCTION
Operation management is explained as an area of management that consider and engage
various factors such as computation of resources, raw-materials, land, labour, etc. for convert
them into the finished products and services. The main role of operation department is to
maximise the overall productivity as well as profitability of organisation through manufacturing
good quality of products. Similarly, project management is to utilise all skills for increase the
overall value of project. The selected organisation for this report is Warren equipment and it was
founded in the year 1971 and in the present scenario, a lot of employees are engaged in the
company for manage and complete their operations and functions. Further, organisation is well-
known for their power generation, construction and agricultural related equipment which are
offered and installed by organisation among different geographical areas. This report will discss
about review and implementation of various operation management principles and also an
appropriate continuous improvement plan. Continuous improvement plan and also discussion
related with lean principles is also cover in the upcoming report. In the last, this report will
discuss about effectiveness of product life-cycle for providing and offering healthy and safe food
project to the stakeholders.
MAIN BODY
Operations management vs operations
Operation considered as a approach or method that is engaged in the application of
organisational process and principles. This is also declared as an action and decision that is
managed and controlled by the participants of organisation especially, those which impacts on
distribution and production process. Similarly, operations management consists all those process
and procedures which improve productivity of business.
On the operation management is explained as an area of management that relates with
controlling, designing and managing the production process. Along with this redesigning of
company operations for improving the process of converting raw-materials into finished products
and services are also engaged within operations management. Furthermore, in context of Warren
equipments organisation provide agriculture, construction and gas related instruments through
managing all operations in a systematic manner.

Implementation of operations management principles within the organization
Warren Equipment organisation is well-known for the completion of their actions and
activities in a smooth manner. The main purpose or goal of operations management is to deal and
perform day-to-day activities in an organised manner. Some principles related with organisation
are mention as follow:
Principle of reality- With in this principle, the major focus of organisation is to identift
and adopt all those tools and techniques that aids selected business units for perform their
work in an organised manner through minimise issue or problems. Moreover, this is also
important for organisation to take constant feedback from workforce and it put customers
first. In addition to the Warren equipment, management analyse the customer demand
and than manufacture all of their instruments according to their requirements.
Principle of organisation- According to this principle an organisation execute all of their
action and activities according to the decided aim. In the present scenario, effective
relationships exists among different departments of Warren equipment company in order
to generate the effective relationship with other workforce of organisation.
Principle of change- Within this principle, new changes or amendments are adopted by
the organisation and in the context of Warren-equipment new changes is induced by
management because it helps them to handle and control company actions according to
the current trends.
Principle of accountability- According to the principle of accountability manager and
authorities formulate specific rules, policies and procedures that are followed by each
worker who perform their operations in the organisation. Along with this manager also
perform work in an effective manner because accountability principle demonstrate the
mistake of persons. It helps to develop the team-members and their productivity in an
organised manner.
Their are various approaches related with operation management which are currently
relates with organisation is implemented and they are used to perform all work with flexible
methods. Moreover, lean production, mass-customization and agile manufacturing are also
engaged because they are used for enhance the profitability and production both.
