4. Effectiveness of the PLC in application to your project using the appropriate theories models and concepts. There are different project methodologies which the project managers use for undertaking a project in accordance with the needs and availability of resources with the company. Below are someprojectmethodologieswhichhavedifferentsuitabilityinrelationtosizeofan organization: Agile Methodology: It can be defined as a methodology of a project management wherein demand and solutions are obtained by the way of collaborative activities of project team members and cross functional teams. The advantage of this methodology is that it reduces the risk of absolute failure of a project, offers quickness to the project, facilitates faster rate on return and provide better control over the activities in a specific project (Joslin and MĂĽller, 2016). However, application of this methodology in PLC of Aston Martin is not so beneficial for the company as it cannot measure progress of a project like in the other methodologies because
progress is made across different levels. It involves huge resources in terms of money, time and manpower since it ask for intense collaboration. Suitability: It is suitable for large scale projects which are conducted by large scale organization. This is because of the resources it requires which cannot be arranged or afford by the small scale companies (Kerzner, 2018). Scrum methodology: This project management methodology offers some principles and procedures which focuses on improving the delivery. The primary focus of scrum is to enhance team work, coordination, communication and fastness of development of activities within a project (Muller, 2017). Application of this methodology by project manager of Aston Martin will allow it to empower the phenomenon of self managing team for delivering highly coordinated and valuable services by the team members. However, the problem with application of this methodology is that it lacks the clear definition which in turn adversely affects the activity of planning, organizing and structuring the project (Scrum Project Management – Pros and Cons,2018). Further, adaptation of this methodology for large projects does not suit for large scale projects. The chances of project failure is also higher than other methodologies. Suitability:It is suitable for small scale projects and can offer very effective results when the project team is of about 8-9 members. Project manager must adopt the agile methodology since it is suitable for large scale product and the costs associated with this methodology can also be easily afforded by the company. CONCLUSION Operation management term refers to the administration of all the business practices that has been created on of the highest level efficiency and effectiveness which has been possible within the company. This study will conclude the review of the organisation and also the effectiveness of the operation management policies. It will conclude the concept of continues improvements in the operational context and apply the project life cycle. Moreover, it will conclude the review and critical applications of the PLC that has been used in project.
