INTRODUCTION
Operations and project management in which operations management deals with the day
to day as well as strategic business concerns or issues in systematic manner. On other hand
project management majorly deals with the planning, organising, motivating and control various
works and activities in order to achieve organisational goals and objectives. It proved beneficial
for organisation by analysing design and control to bring improvement in operations, projects,
logistics and supply chain management issues in order to remain competitive in the marketplace.
This report covers the two case studies one on Toyota which faces some management issues and
other section of report based on Paul and Penny that aimed to expand their business and related
activities to remain competitive in the marketplace. This report cover the significance of
operations and project management by evaluating and implementing principles of operation
management. Then review and critique implementation of operations management with help of
six sigma and lean principles to gain optimum outcomes. For an organisation continuous
improvement is very much necessary by using methods and strategies to amend performance.
Further it explains Planning phrase with help of project life cycle and other supportive
documents. Also review and critique the effectiveness of PLC with help of models, concepts.
