This assignmentis based on Hotpoint company which manufacture, market as well as sell wide range of homeappliances. Offerings of the respective organisation are washing machines, dishwashers,refrigerators, freezers, cookers, tumble dryers and so on.Now they are trying to launch largescreen TV also with minimum size 58 inches. Below mention report is going to explainprinciples of operation management along with this prepare improvement plan. Apart from thisproject life cycle will be develop and also reviews on it. TASK 1P1 Review and critique of the implementation of operations management principlesOperations management is the important department of every organisation because it isconcerned with designing of goods and controlling of product as well as services. Along withthis, there are some activities involve in operational and project management which make surethat all the functions will be conduct in effectual manner. There are several activities included init such as planning, organisation, controlling as well as supervising the manufacturing procedurefor making sure that production of offerings will be done in appropriate way by better utilisationof available resources (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). Hotpoint is home appliance organisationwhich use six sigma and lean principles for evaluating their market area as well as manufacturingprocedure before launching TV in market. Minimum size of TV will be 58 inches which will bethe new range in market area. Explanation of these two approaches are as follows :- Six Sigma - It is an disciplined, statistical-based, data-driven approach as well ascontinuous improvement methodology which help in eliminating defects in a goods, process orservice. Along with this, implementation of six sigma helps in increasing customers satisfactionas well as profitability by streamlining operations, enhancing quality and eliminating defects inwide process of firm. Respective concept involve five steps in it i.e., define, measure, analysis,improve and control. Hotpoint company is conducting six sigma analysis in their working area

that will assist in gathering accurate information or data related to production of 58 inches TV.Explanation of Six sigma in relation to Hotpoint company are as follows :- Define- This is first step of six sigma in which organisation will be able to find out issuesor problem as well as goal of the project that is required to be resolve and direct for theirachievement (Fleming and Koppelman, 2016). InHotpoint company respective stage ofresearch is conducted by manager with the motive of determining determine issues andgoal of the project after that strategies are designed according to it. Measure- Main motive of this stage is to gather data which is relevant for launcing 58inches large screen TV. Manager of Hotpoint will focus on determining the parameterswhich require to be quantified as well as required data will be collected. Analysis- At this stage, research manager of Hotpoint company identify reason behindinefficiency working for launching new large screen TV. Manager will determine the gapbetween actual and standard performance so that its causes will be determined as well asopportunities will be for development.Improve- This stage of six sigma enhance the procedure by identifying possiblesolutions, along with its ways of implementing (Swink and et. al., 2017). Then after this,solution will be implemented for further improvement. Moreover, manager of Hotpointwill be consult and changes will be suggested for launching large screen TV. Apart fromthis, action which will be taken for improvement circulated to relevant stakeholder andentire organisation. Control- It is a last step of entire process in which manager of Hotpoint home appliancesorganisation will implement suitable solution of the issue for launching new 58 incheslarge TV in more effective manner. If respective company adopt six sigma method for launching and delivering new range oflarge screen television whose minimum size is 58 inches they able to enhance there quality ofproductivity, they also able to reduce cost of operations and production. Along with this theyalso able to deliver new large screen television in appropriate manner to there potentialcustomers. Due to which they feel satisfied and stay loyal to Hotpint. They also able to conductmanufacturing and delivering process in effective manner. This is so because by using six sigmamanger able to monitoring whole process of production starting from manufacturing and end atdelivering products to customers.
