INTRODUCTION
Organizational behavior is described as study of behavioral elements of individuals and
people that perform in a group to achieve strategic goals and objectives. This study helps to
develop or improve comprehending about staff behavior and performance, which may get better
by taking initiative and conducting varied practices. The current assignment will be based on
Morrison’s, which falls under category of top leading British supermarkets. The study will
explain influence of organization’s power, culture and politics on individual and team attitude as
well as performance. It will define content & process theories of motivation and effective
approached that enable essential achievement of aims in organizational context. Furthermore, the
report will justify understanding of what build an effective group as opposite to ineffective.
Lastly, the assignment will justify concepts & philosophies related to organizational behavior
within chosen supermarket context and give business environment.

P1 Analyzing how a power, organization’s culture and politics influence individual and team
performance & behavior
In the world of business, there are many factors exited that has affecting several ventures
and their worker’s performances as well as attribute regarding management in two different
manners, such as negative and positive. Here, organizational culture and other forces may define
in the context of Morrison’s, below;
French and Raven bases of power-
Legitimate-
By using their power in ethical manner, manager may contribute to create positive
environment at workplace where team’s member and individual candidate perform in productive
and carry attitude to follow leaders as well as management suggestions (Kovach, 2020).
Reward-

Morrison’s with this form of culture may boost morale and influence employee’s
performance in positive manner by providing rewards to each on the basis of their hard work,
efficiency and support, which is not an easy task to do (Bochatay and et.al., 2020).
Expert-
This type of organizational culture may influence positively and provide desire outcomes
to management within Morrison’s in term increasing productivity of staffs and their confidence
level that change just because of positivity they gain from seniors where they share their
experience with everyone.

This kind of culture is created when a leader provides fair and appropriate suggestion to
each candidate, which may influence their performance and drive their attention towards aim
achievements instead of individual play.
Coercive-
A culture where leader and other people punish staff for their minor mistake, may
influence negatively which outcomes in high employee turnover, and set negative impact in mind
of workers regarding seniors.
