INTRODUCTION
Organizational behavior defined as a combination of responses to internal and external
stimuli by an individual as a person. It provides detailed information about how a person within
an organization behave and act to other group members that influence or impact their
performances. The current assignment will be based on Morrison’s, which considered in the list
of top 10 supermarkets in the United Kingdom. Its goal is to offer consumers a one stop purchase
and give them unexpected experience that they tent to obtain during shopping trip within a
supermarket. The study will explain how power, politics and organizational culture influence
team & individual performance and behavior. It will define how motivational techniques; content
& process theories of motivation enable essential achievement of aims in company context.
Furthermore, the report will justify what makes an effective group as opposed to ineffective and
implication of organizational behavior philosophies & concepts within Morrison’s as well as
given business circumstances.

P1- Analyzing how an organization’s culture, politics, & power influence individual and team
behavior and performance
The performance and behavior of individual employee and groups of people at workplace
may be affected due to varied factors, which includes power, politics and environment at
workplace. There are several strategic models has been existed within the world of business that
used to define how and what type of factor may influence nature and productivity of person
within companies such as Morrison’s.
Handy’s model of organizational cultural-
Power-
It may adopt by many organizations like Morrison and use by only one person how is
capable to build productive team at workplace by providing appropriate guidance to each that
enhance their performance and let them free to communicate (Makumbe, 2021).
Role-

By allocating roles and accountabilities of individual person at workplace within
Morrison’s, leader may boost morale and motivate staff in term of influencing their behavior and
performance positively (Charles Handy Model of Organization Culture, 2021). It helps to retain
talented candidates for long and give them motive to do so.
Task-
It influences positively upon individual and team behavior and performance in form of
increasing their productivity because everyone within Morrison’s may get particular task on the
basis of their efficiency and interest level which is important for management to consider while
dividing tasks.
Person-
It may create conflict at workplace, where individual less support to other people to make
them comfortable and complete their work on time. It may demotivate workers and influence
their behavior in term of lack of coordinative attitude (Farwell and Handy, 2020).
French and Raven types of power-
Reward power-
According to this form of power, by providing rewards to team and individual person on
the basis of their initiatives and efforts instead of color, gender or age, manager may influence
people positively and give them reason to perform in productive manner.
Expert power-
By sharing knowledge with every person in Morrison’s that perform together for
achieving common objectives and aims, leader may boost morale, skills and understanding
regarding work among employees. It may help to drive their efforts toward path through which
they may achieve greater success.
