Reflective Essay on Organisational Behaviour

This essay is mainly focused on the emotional as well as substantive conflict that took place within two different personal experience in context of organisational behaviour. In this reflection, I have been consider “Gibb’s reflective model” in order to identify or share personal experience. In most of cases, I will try to improve own learning ability and also develop understanding towards different concepts such as leadership, Conflict resolution, team development etc.

Reflective Essay
This essay is mainly focused on the emotional as well as substantive conflict that took
place within two different personal experience in context of organisational behaviour. In this
reflection, I have been consider “Gibb’s reflective model” in order to identify or share personal
experience. In most of cases, I will try to improve own learning ability and also develop
understanding towards different concepts such as leadership, Conflict resolution, team
development etc. Generally, I will analyse the two different experience of organisation behaviour
that will help for improving the skills in term of conflict resolution, team work within
professional development (Boryczko, 2020). Critically, I will try to record all personal incidents,
find behaviour and attitude. It ensuring that how deals with critical situation or condition.
Therefore, it is helping for me in future to gain insight idea towards organisational behaviour. I
will reflect on the personal experience and what I will learn from different organisation situation.
My reflection essay is based on the learning experience related the lack of communication, lack
of motivation and conflict resolution etc. On the other hand, SOAP learning will be used to
collect or gather information about personal experience throughout various project.
My first experience in context of organisational behaviour that will identify lack of
communication, lack of motivation. Sometimes, I am feeling so shy, sad and anxious. I believe
that this kind of attitude or behaviour arises a lack of communication, motivation. Afterwards, it
will affect on my performance, decrease an ability at the time of task execution in the workplace.
In order to resolve an issue related a lack of communication, motivation. Therefore, I will
concern about the Mintzberg and Belbin team roles as well as theories. These type of theories
will be supporting for me to improve skills themselves. I also applied these kind of learning
theory in my first experience. I will further improve behaviour, attitude towards future
experience with the help of metacognition theory.
For future improvement, I will use Belbin team roles theory which help for establishing a
better coordination with other people. in this way. I will utilize the current situation and move
towards right direction and path. Therefore, it will help for me to deal with low engagement

(Rodham, Bains and et.al., 2020). In my personal experience, I have been analysed that lack of
motivation or communication can develop a nervousness, stressful or negative attitude. In this
way, I will consider a Belbin roles theory, it will develop confidence level in order to overcome
lack of communication and motivation issues.
To reflect this experience, I believed that future lack of motivation or communication
improve in proper manner. For Example- during Covid-19, It has been increased the
communication through Zoom meeting. Therefore, I initially felt overwhelmed since I had to
step up to create suitable structure with team members. In this way, I will improve my
communication and motivation skills.
My second experience is all about the conflict, mis-communication in the workplace.
According to me, I will try to use various stages or phases of Tuckmans in context of group
development. On the basis of experience, I have realised when I have performed the group
project with colleagues. At that time, it will be increased mis-communication, conflicts in
regards of project discussion (Rowe, Moore and McKie, 2020). I will be focused on the
consideration of Tuckman’s phases and decided to meet all criteria, revise everything in proper
manner.
At initial phases, I have been established a better coordination with group members and
was thinking positively about current project. Afterwards, I have realised that team work is not
all about the impression but it help for improve understanding, control emotional feeling. In
some situation, I did not know how to avoid any kind of conflict because it might happen again
in future and also affected overall performance. I will participate in the team working where
using Tuckman theory which helps for me to resolve any kind of conflicts among people.
Moreover, I will use Kilman conflict theory that help for resolving any kind of conflict among
staff members.
For My future recommendation, I will use thaler and Sustein’s ‘Nudege concept in which
deals with own decision-making power. Because I thoughts behaviour or attitude help to choose
a right direction or path in complex situation or condition. But it was very difficult for me to use

self-reflective approach in decision making in future. Therefore, I will use SOAP learning logs
which help to record at the time of team project (Sakyi, Mweshi and Tayali, 2020). In order to
experience throughout the different processes. I always wanted to solve conflicts related issues or
problem so that it is needed to make a proper decision in critical condition or situation. On the
other hand, I will decide to follow certain kind of discipline procedures and well-prepare before
meeting, discussion. This will help for me to build a confidence level so that it easily resolve
conflicts among colleagues, build a strong relationship.
In Conclusion, this reflective essay has been summarised about the behaviour, attitude
towards team working. In my first experience, I was shy and feel anxious, sad but that was not
going every-time. I have been used the suitable approach in order to manage their emotions
while improving a lack of communication, motivational issues. Afterwards, I has been identified
the best result or outcome. Reflecting on my team work experience in critical situation or
condition.
In my second experience, I have learn about the conflict resolution approach which means
that everyone work within team or group. I have been improved my own attitude of behaviour so
that it helps for reducing confliction level in future. There are lot of things happens because of
different issues but it can easily overcome through learning theory or approaches (Sakyi, Mweshi
and Tayali, 2020). On the basis of experiences, I have realised that it is an essential part to
improve a communication, strong relationship because without this, it cannot possible to handle
any kind of situation. I felt uncertainty and find the different mis-understanding between team
members at the time of task execution. Until, it has been resolved by using Belbin theory, which
help for me to provide best result and also improve own personality. Moreover, I also ensured
that other team member feel the same thing. On the basis of experience, I have really enjoyed
things, while being as part of team to lean many things. In future, I also achieve desirable goals
or objectives, which make me feel better and enjoy working within specific team or group.
