Introduction:
The behaviour at the work place shows how its employees behave in the organisation and
how they influence the performance of the team so that organisation are able to accomplished
the desire profits in the effective manners. in the another words , it is a process which affects the
employees work at the management level by the organisation culture and power they used in
their work places. the company used various motivation theories to improve the inputs of the
worker at the work environment so that desire results can be seen in the organisation in the
long run. Under this report, Tesco which is a groceries retailer organisation and having the
headquarter in the united kingdom. There will be discussion on the culture of the organisation
and various theories which are used by the manager to improve the outcomes of the employees.

P1: examine how the organisation culture, politics and power can influence people and team
behaviour and performances.
At the work place, the behaviour of the employees is influenced by the culture environment,
power and politics of the organisation which helps them to achieve the goals and objective in the
most effective manner . the culture of the company affects the inputs of the worker at the given
task which influence the organisation objectives. With the references of the Tesco company ,
they use proper culture which helps in accomplishing the desire results within the set time
period. (Bailey,and Burch, 2017.)
Handy’s model”: the Tesco company uses this model in their management which helps in
having effective culture which lead to achieving the desire organisation objectives in the long
period. under this model, there are different culture which helps the organisation to complete the
task in proper manners.
Power culture; according to this part, the power is given to some senior authorities who take
the important decision about the organisation and employee have to follow their order to
complete the task and achieve the goals within the set time frame. Here worker are not able to
present their views and have to apply the decision of the senior people.
Task culture: in the Tesco company , the manager make a team of worker who are able to
dissolve the issues and problems in the most profitable manner and achieve the desire results in

the organisation . here the team have unique skills which helps them to overcome the issues in
effective way.
Person culture: here the worker of the organisation thinks that personal goals are important
then the organisation objective which affects the performance of the employees at the work
places. the organisation have this culture faces various problems in achieving the profits in
proper way.
Role culture: under this culture, the worker are provide with the roles and duties according to
their skills and capabilities so that task can be completed in effective and profitable manners and
organisation can achieve the their goals in time.
Task culture is adopted in Tesco plc so as to execute complex as well as intricate task
within the given time period which leads entire productiveness and greater profitability to Tesco
plc (Bailey and Burch, 2017).
Organisation power: as per this, the manager of the Tesco organisation provide some power to
its employees so that they are able to finish the work in proper way and companies goals and
objectives can be achieved in the productivity way
Rewards power: as this , the worker are provided with the rewards for giving their better inputs
at the work and organisation achieve the goals. It also helps in motivating employees to perform
better in task. (Baum,, 2016).
Legitimate power: under this , power are with the most senior manager who take manage the
whole team and focus on finishing the task in profitable ways.
Expert power: here the manager give power to the worker who are expert in their work having
special skills and abilities to achieve the desire profits for the organisation in the long run.
Power works as a power for the individuals because this is dependent on energy level as
well as endurance capacity possessed by them that effectively works as a determinant within
achievement of goals. This assist the member of TESCO to build long lasting relationship with
their employees so that to maintain unity and corporation (Mazur, 2015).
Organisation politics: the Tesco company , have positive politics which helps in achieving the
desire outcomes in the efficient manner and focus on expanding their business at the
international level and leader motivate it employees to improve their inputs so that better results
can be seen in the organisation.
