2ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
Introduction
The decision making in the process of leadership is the case study that helps in
understanding the aspects of the leadership, cultural outcomes as well as performance
outcomes. It helps in elaborating the kind of proper leadership, wherein one leader must
follow proper order to properly attain proper satisfaction from the work that are held by
different employees whether autocratic, democratic or both. It helps in dealing with traits of
the leader that will help them in achieving success for the organizations. Proper priorities has
to be set in advance and when such priorities will be achieved, it will be compared with the
desired targets and check whether the actual is met with the desired targets (Dopson et al.
2016).
The main aim and purpose of the report is to analyze properly the decision making
skills wherein the employees will consider themselves associated with the organizational
goals as well as objectives. This case helps in enumerating the different styles of leadership
and the needs that has to be properly adopted with respect to the cultural as well as
performance aspects of the different organizations in proper details with questions given
herewith.
The structure of the assignment will help in understanding the different aspects of the
leadership style as this will help in achieving proper organizational goals. Proper decision
making process has to be properly ascertained as this will help in achieving the desired
targets of the organization as well.
Answer 1
In Meat Pack, that is a family made production of food business that is situated in
Sydney, Australia is properly leaded by Mr. Derek Bison, CEO of the company that helped
the company in order to achieve the profit of AUD $300 million with the help of the group
sales. The respective organization was dealing with two changes such as leadership as well as
cultural along with performance changes. Bison has both positive as well as negative
characteristics wherein negative characteristics included obsessive, interfering as well as
restless kind of behavior whereas on the positive characteristics include driven, competitive
in nature. Later on, Bison started working with an executive coaching as well as for senior

development Leadership Company. There were different employees who commented that
they had gained huge amount of vision as well as understanding along with proper awareness
from Bison that made them in enthusiastic in nature, however later on Bison focused
particularly on strategy of the senior team. Bison tried to develop more than 12 kinds of
behavioral outcomes in different colors such as blue, green as well as red. Bison was working
particularly in order to change the color red in blue color of the meat pack. On the other hand,
the positive side of Bison helped him in motivating the different employees as well as
provides them proper training along with development opportunities before the work of the
organization that was appreciated by the employees as there was a feel of investment in the
development. Bison has mixed traits of personality wherein he worked as both autocratic as
well as democratic leadership traits.
Impact
After getting influenced by individuals, Bison introduced Human Synergistic
Circumflex in the meat pack that helped him in influencing different 12 behaviors into three
proper colors such as red (Aggressive), green ( Defensive) as well as blue (constructive) in
nature. It was even discovered that culture of meat pack was red in color and it is needed to
be changed into blue with the level of organization has to be changed in nature from
hierarchical to the horizontal that required proper employment of the front managers and
properly making duties more accountable as well as responsible in nature.
It was seen that Bison was feeling affected with the change and he was not able to
properly interrupt as well as intervene when there was a feeling that decisions are not
properly taken care and the progress that is required in nature in handling the decisions of the
business. The Chief Executive Officer of the company has lost some senior leaders in the
company that was accountable to Bison and Bison being the autocratic leader to personality
as well as ego clash with senior members as well and this led to permanent loss to the
company as well. Furthermore, the positive side of Bison that the members and the
employees were enthusiastic in nature and this applied to sustain as well as achieve the
targets and it helps in noticing whether proper understanding has been established between
the different employees as well the managers or not (Lee and Diaz 2013).
From the performance and culture point of view, Bison introduced smooth form of the
leadership in organization structure that made the employees as well as the employers more
accountable as well as responsible in nature as well. He believed that employees who are

working in the respective organization from few years should not be removed as there is an
emotional connection with the employers and the organization (Robertson 2016).
Furthermore, the employees feel safe as they feel that the decisions that are taken by them are
for their betterment in the future as well. Bison also focused in proper training as well as
development of the employees and encouraged all employees in such way that they felt they
are valuable part of the organization (Cheng et al. 2014).
From the above scenario, it can be concluded that Bison has followed autocratic kind
of leadership wherein all the decisions are taken care by one person in the organization. Bison
was very interrupting as well as dominating type of personality who only provided orders to
different subordinates. Bison must use hands off technique in the entire company as well as
provide with different decisions that are essential for the company but Bison should not bind
with them with his decisions as well as ideas. Bison needs to guide as well as motivate
subordinates rather than ordering as well as dominating them as this will result in losing
valuable employees from the organization as well (Schyns et al. 2013).
If Bison will start using the hands off technique the organization will gain:
More people with properly interact with him (Moran, Abramson and Moran 2014)
People will feel free while interacting as well as presenting their ideas
Keeping in mind the different positive attitudes of Bison, people will feel safe and
supported in the organization and this will help me in improving the overall
productivity of the training programs as well.
Due to Bison and other policy requirements that were implemented in the company, it
helped in the betterment of the employees in the organization along with making the
employees comfortable to work in such environment wherein Bison as well as others
believed the theory of creating as well as implementing the decisions that are best for the
company as well. All these factors will help the Meat Pack in order to achieve growth as well
as success as the presence of the leader like Bison in the entire organization (Dinh et al.
2014).
Answer 2
Bison is dominating as well as interrupting in nature who involves in each and every
kind of activities of the company. For properly changing the different mindsets of employees,

he properly joined coaching as well as proper development of the company, as this will help
in changing the different mindsets of the individuals (Saucier et al. 2015). However, Bison
started feeling encouraged in nature in different activities; however, in the later stage Bison
dropped idea of involvement of the coaching and concentrated on the strategic teams (Burtch,
Ghose and Wattal 2013).
From the performance as well as cultivation point of view, it was seen that ERP
initiative was introduced in Meat Pack that combined with different departments such as
finance, investment as well as production that are focused on timely as well as efficiently
achieving the different targets. Due to the proper structure that is uniform in nature that has
been adopted by Bison, the senior management as well as the employees are more
responsible as well as accountable in nature. Bison felt and helped the different employees by
appointing six persons on account as this helped the managers in the organization to properly
manage the individuals in the organization (McNamara et al. 2014).
Due to the efforts shown by Bison, the loyalty of the employees as well as trust
remained as usual in the organization as the employees feel safe as well as comfortable as the
different decisions that were taken was for the benefit for the employees in the organization.
Bison helped the employees in the organization as well to achieve proper training as well as
development in the organization as these helped them in achieving proper targets for the
entire organization. Bison invested his valuable time in different courses of training as these
are the valuable parts of the organization. The employees in the organization helped in
achieving proper targets that are essential in nature and these helped in gaining competitive
advantage and gaining overall success of the entire organization (McCleskey 2014).
Bison even helped in creating a proper and strong focus on the setting of the different
priorities wherein the performance evaluation as well as accountability has been properly
achieved by the employees in the organization. Bison tried in achieving different leadership
skills as these helped the entire organization in providing different activities such as proper
motivation as well as gaining competitive advantage as well. The overall personalities of
different managers as well as employees in the organization are stated by proper feedback as
this will help the entire organization in achieving different goals (Thomas and Peterson
2017).
Improvements in the future

Bison stated in the meeting that there was a need for improvement in few areas and in
this case, the Chief Financial Officer of the respective organization was not able to
understand whether he would be able to answer the question that will be asked by Bison and
who will be providing answer to whom as well. The CFO thought that a proper hierarchy
plan has to be maintained as this will help in maintaining proper organizational standards.
The other area of improvement that is required in the organization was to change the
monotonous work that was performed by the employees in the organization from last few
years and they were really tired of doing the same task again and again. The employees in the
organization need a proper change in the culture of the environment in the workplace. The
respective organization needs to follow job rotation technique as this will help the employees
in the organization to get rid of the monotonous work that is performed by them (Wang,
Waldman and Zhang 2014).
The further improvement that was required in the organization is wherein the
employees who are young as well as smart in nature leave different tasks incomplete in
nature (Kirschner and Ilari 2014). This happens due to the managers who are the ones to
allocate the different tasks in the organization are less in nature as the proper check on the
targets is essential in nature and this is lacking the organization as well. In order to properly
solve the issues in the organization the data that used to feed manually has to be feed
electronically as this will help in saving the time as well as allowing the managers in the
organization to concentrate on the different employees who are the new joinees in the
organization (Buchanan and Seligman 2013).
Answer 3
In order to transform the different outlook of the individuals in the organization, it is
essential for Bison to join the proper classes that were based on the leadership teaching.
Bison became the part of the leadership company as well and the company felt and thought
that Bison was interrupting as well as dominating in nature and this will affect the training
procedures as well. Due to the proper step that has been taken by Bison, the managers in the
organization expressed proper views as that helped in generating proper awareness as well as
vision through the change.
Bison was good in communicating and through the power of proper communication,
the managers in the organizations communicated different issues that were faced by the

organization. In the meeting, Bison tried to solve different issues related to the organization
with the employees of the organization. Due to the change in the behavior of Bison, it helped
Bison in bringing a proper change in the organization that was referred as the Enterprise
Resource Planning (Van et al. 2015). This concept helped the entire organization to integrate
as well as combine the different works of the different organizations such as production,
investment, finance as well as the management for the successful completion of the different
targets that helped in making the entire organization structured in nature without any kind of
collision between the different departments.
Bison has made proper efforts in the creation of the flatter structure that helped in
creating performance as well as structural change for that Bison has empowered managers to
take more responsibility as well as accountability in the organization. Bison even tried to
focus on the 6 individuals as this will help the managers in the organization to take proper
decisions in the organizations with proper responsibility as well as accountability. This will
help the individuals in achieving the different targets that are achieved by the organization as
well. Further Bison helped in undertaking proper ability in order to take decisions for
different organizations that will be profitable to all. Proper construction of loyalty as well as
trust will help in achieving the different determinations of the organization as this will bring
proper success in the respective organization named Meat Pack.
Furthermore, wherein there are two parts in the coin, there are two types of
individuals in the organization. The first set of individuals is the ones who are happy with the
work environment of Meat Pack and they are happy due to the safety and security provided to
them as well. On the other hand, there are individuals in the organization who are dissatisfied
as well as not happy with the different activities that are performed by them in the
organization. These are the individuals in the organization who feel they are not satisfied with
the change in the organization and they need and require more changes as per their
requirements in the organization as well (Bliss, Pecukonis and Snyder 2014).
According to Bison, the employees of the organization are the most valuable parts of
the organization and they are the ones that help the entire organization to manage different
kinds of activities and perform such activities in the organization as well. The employees in
the organization are the ones who bring proper success for the organization with their full
efforts as well as they develop the different skills with proper implementation of different
strategies in the organization as well. The efforts of the individuals are properly managed as

these will help in achieving proper growth in the organization along with being the most
valuable asset of the entire organization as well.
Bison helped in achieving proper goals in the organization with his full efforts in the
organization to develop the proper qualities of leadership in the organization as well. The
leadership qualities of Bison helped the entire organization to perform well in the
organization with different efforts and these helped them in leading the team of the
organization as well. Due to the effort that is positive in nature shown by Bishop, the
employees in the organization felt enthusiastic in nature and the employees in the
organization felt a positive as well as drastic change in the organization as well. The
employees of the respective organization felt they are the valuable assets of the organization
and they are the ones with the positive qualities that help the organization to achieve different
goals in as well as for the entire organization as well.
In the past, the managers of different organizations focused mainly on the works that
were provided by them and this helped them in enhancing the development of the
organization as well (Asuga, Eacott and Scevak 2015). The higher officials of the
organization in the past were not at all bothered about the progress of the individuals as well
as the well being of the individuals in the workplace as well. However, in present, Bison
helped in understanding the difficult situations that are faced by the employees in the
organization and trying to solve such issues with proper implementation of different
strategies as well. In the present scenario, the organizational higher officials sit with the
employees of the organization in order to understand the difficulties faced by them and
provide different solutions to them as well.
Barriers to cultural change in organization
Bison introduced a proper plan that helped the individuals in the organization that
helped in understanding the behavior of the individuals in the organization that is known as
Human Synergistic Circumplex. The different kinds of behaviors namely 12 behaviors was
denoted with three different colors that helped in denoting the most aggressive, inactiveness
as well as self constructive behavior in the organization.
The respective company had few issues in the job roles and this create contingent
situation between the employees in the organization as well between the different
responsibilities of the employees in the organization as well. Miscommunication in the
Document Page
9ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
organization creates a huge barrier as in Meat Pack the different employees were provided
with a task that has to be completed by them and after the completion of the entire task, it was
seen that the task that was performed by the employees was far different in nature. This
occurred due to the lack of communication between the employees as well as the higher
officials of the organization (Angermeyer et al. 2015).
Cross cultural clashes were one of the huge barriers in the organization that created
huge pressure in achieving the organizational goal as the production was increasing at a very
high speed so as the employees in the organization were employed at a production line
quickly. The different employees of the organization who are from different cultures were not
provided with equal opportunity to communicate as well as interact with one another to build
proper kind of understanding the ego conflicts as well as ego clashes among different
employees.
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be inferred that the different studies of the organizational behavior
along with the leadership style and the culture are required to achieve proper sustainability in
the organization. In the assignment, it has been seen that leadership styles are of different
kinds and the usage is kept accordingly as well. The respective organization has to properly
define the different objectives as well as goals of the organization that will help in analyzing
the different cultures of the employees in the organization. A proper organizational structure
has to be established for proper determination of the changes that can take place in the
organization as well.
