INTRODUCTION
Organisational behaviour is study of individual as well as group performance within a
business entity. It provide an aid to control and predict behaviour of human. It is a participation
of human knowledge which have regarding structure, social system and technology (Li, and
Mahadeva, 2017). Amazon is a largest e commerce company which was founded by Jeff Bozos.
The company rendered their services in many countries of the world. This report will lay
emphasis on primary research in which elements of culture will be discussed. Questions for
interview will also be discussed in this report. The culture, communication and motivation in the
company Amazon. Secondary research will also be executed in this report. Theory of
communication, motivation and culture will be explained in this report in form of presentation.
The relation of primary research will also be relate to communication flow, motivation and
culture of the Amazon.
PRIMARY RESEARCH
This research is based on one of the renowned and famous business entity which is
known for their products as well as services by dealing online. Also, the company is engaged
into largest industry of e-commerce known as Amazon. The company was founded by Jeff
Bozos. The Amazon is a company which serves best technological service all over the world and
deals in several services that help customer to get all things at single place(Biggio, 2016). The
company owned 6,45,500 employees and to deal with large number of employees the company
Amazon need to maintain certain kind of work culture. They maintain the culture in order to
motivate employees to work hard and stay loyal with the company.
Organisational culture is values and standards of every organisation which had to follow
the employees behaviour and also provide aid while team work in a business. This involves an
organisational working structure which reflects the way employees gets engage with activity and
coordinate with other individuals in order to attain organisational goal. Also, it provide aid to
company by creating a strong reputation in market place.
Elements of culture is to improve business entity in a better way which reflects the views
of members and employees who worked with them by appreciate the decisions and suggestions
for organisational benefit. Many activities are conducted in an organisation which motivates the
employees to share their thoughts and views by communicating with other employees and
members of the company. The company like Amazon, ask their employees to contribute their

suggestions and ideas with the management and help them in decision making. This brings a
friendly and cooperative culture in the organisation. Also, the company employed large set of
employees and they are from different culture. The company face many issues relating to cultural
differentiation and for that Amazon make efforts to conducts activities in work place in an
ethical manner(Wronka-Pośpiech, and Frączkiewicz-Wronka, 2016).
The organisation culture is there to provide aid to their employees in order to behave in
ethical manner. Therefore, this is a major element of culture as the company such as Amazon is
extend themselves to a large scale and also with engagement of different culture of employees.
They generally make an environment in work place which is friendly and stress free for their
employees so that they discuss any issue with their superiors with confidence. The organisation
play a major role to motivate the employees through leadership, training, providing benefits,
appreciation and availing them job satisfaction.

As per the primary survey, the organisational culture has to follow an effective role by
maintaining relationship with employees and to achieve organisational targets. It has been
concluded from the survey that handy typology theory is used by Amazon in order to enhance
their employees work and to attain effective organisational goal.
The company uses four types of culture for following this model that is role, power,
person and task. The employees of Amazon are clearly stated their roles and responsibility for
the company from the time they join the organisation. The role culture is depend on tall structure
of organisation and the structure defines the responsibility and roles of every individual who is
working in the company. The role of person vary from their job positions, interest and skills. The
company Amazon can follow this culture for efficiently and effectively achievement of group
goal. The task culture in company like Amazon mainly uses methods which judge the
capabilities and skills of employees. The employees are allotted different task from there they
need to achieve these tasks. The company is using this task culture in their work place. The
power culture is not following in Amazon as this represents autocratic leadership in work place.
The company does not follow this method because they are more concerned for employees

satisfaction and for this the culture of power is not following in Amazon. Then Person culture is
not following in Amazon because employees are more concerned for organisational goal
achievement (King, 2017).
The leaders at Amazon company always provide guidance and act as mentor for the
employees. The employees can rely on the leaders and found them as trust worthy. The leaders
motivates the employees for their work and help them when they need it. The company provide
monetary and non monetary benefits like appreciation, holidays etc to motivate their employees.
The leader of companies act as a role model for their followers. This enables the
company to reduce their communication gap with their employees. As per the study, the
employees posses a strong relationship with their employees and also solve their issues for
employees satisfaction. Also, the employees support the company by coordinate with their
decision.

this research. The company follows task culture to satisfy their organisational goals as well as
individual goals of employees. The company promotes team work in their organisation which
reflects synergy which has been identified in primary research after analyzing questions which
are answered by members of Amazon. The members are efficient enough to manage wok in team
and to handle team working to accomplishing the task assigned to them (Borchardt, 2015) .
Culture can improve effectiveness of a company like Amazon. The communication
executing in Amazon is two way communication. As per the research done in Amazon, the
employees are free to communicate their ideas as well as suggestions to the company and also
their grievance are redress very often. The company is attaining success because of their efforts
of effective communication. Therefore, the culture of two way communication which has been
analyzed in the company Amazon is behind their success and growth. Also, the employees are
satisfied working with the company by getting friendly working environment.
As been analyzed through Maslow hierarchy needs theory for Amazon. The company is
satisfying their employees by following this model of motivation. The motivated employees

work in efficient manner and motivate other to do same (Ngan, 2015) . Employees at Amazon
work hard to achieve the organisational goal as the employees satisfy their individual need after
accomplishing of organisational goal of Amazon. This culture encompasses the employees of
Amazon to retain with their company and to work hard for organisational goal. This culture
enhances the moral of employees and leads Amazon towards growth.
The company uses role culture to attain organisational goal effectively and efficiently.
Also, they use friendly communication in their work place so that there is no staff cohesion in
Amazon. The employees feel belongingness with their superiors and leaders and freely share
their problems with them (Green, nd Payne, 2018) . The company also motivates the employees
by enhancing and appreciate their hard work. Therefore, on these evidences of the research the
company Amazon is getting succeeded and attain growth.
CONCLUSION
This reported is concluded about organisational behaviour. The report was covered a
research on company Amazon through primary research and secondary research. Primary
research includes elements of culture, questionnaire for members of amazon. After that in
secondary research, the different theory of communication, motivation and culture has been
analyzed. At last, summary of whole study in form of communication, culture and motivation
was discussed in this report.
