Interview
Characters:
Interviewer
Manager of Palazzo Versace Gold Coast, Australia
Interviewer: Hello, sir. Good morning. A warm welcome to you in this discussion session.
Manager: Thank you.
Interviewer: Let me quickly brief you about the topic on which we would discuss.
Manager: Sure
Interviewer: Today, we would be discussing on responsible leadership.
Manager: This is indeed a useful topic. As per the current trends, businesses need to
ponder for enhancing the standards and quality of their operations.
Interviewer: Yes, you are right. So, without further delay, let's begin the session. Firstly,
tell me about your views on the impact of leadership on employee performance.
Manager: Well, you have posed a crucial question. I think different leadership styles have a
disparate impact on the production produced by the employees. For example, if you take
the autocratic leadership style, productivity is dependent on the skills, abilities and
competencies of the members to produce collaborative output. This leadership style values
the individual choices and opinions of the members in terms of taking decisions.
Interviewer: Ok, can you specify with some more examples?
Manager: Yes. If you see the laissez-faire leadership style, it enhances the job satisfaction
of the employees. However, I am concerned that if proper management strategies are not
undertaken, efficiency in the performance can be destroyed.
Interviewer: I got your point, sir. Moving on to the next issue, what are your opinions
about the new approaches towards leadership in a global business?
Manager: Well, in the ambience of globalization, I think innovation is the means for

attracting the clients and the customers.
Interviewer: How?
Manager: Managing the innovation through the adoption of change management theories
and concepts is beneficial for ensuring whether the proposed change aligns with the
identified and the specified objectives.
Interviewer: Can you cite an example?
Manager: Well, it gives me immense pleasure to highlight that we have planned to add
complimentary breakfast with the online bookings ill a certain amount.
Interviewer: That sounds great. So, what’s the response?
Manager: The clients and the customers seemed to have liked the offer. We regularly
monitor the posts and comments on the websites and the social media, which enhances our
awareness about the specific needs, demands and requirements. You would be surprised to
know that the number of visitors has increased after the introduction of the offer.
Interviewer: I see! Now, elucidate on the means for becoming a successful leader?
Manager: Well, in the age of competition, becoming a successful leader is very difficult.
You need to expose the cautious approach for gaining respect, trust and dependence from
the clients and the customers. I think the more you are innovative, the more you can
expand the customer base.
Interview: It is, indeed a useful thought. Can you tell me something about the effects of
responsible leadership on the organizational environment and behaviour?
Manager: Well, I think that how we behave, impacts on the workplace environment. The
plans, programs and strategies undertaken by us, alter the standards and quality of the
operations. We train the employees so that they can expose better performance so that the
identified goals and objectives can be accomplished.
Interviewer: I liked it. Now, one of the most crucial question, which I would ask you,
