2.1 Assessing own management skills performance
This is basically to critique my own managerial skills in accordance to give considerable
performance in the field of travel and tourism. Wherein, I am hereby posted as
General Manager in Dorchester Luxury Hotel of London that is required to handle a
contemporary set of workforce. It is with another fundamental concern of fulfilling
the changing needs and demands of the consumers that constantly changes as per the
altering market trends. This in turn depicts a prime responsibility of the leaders and
managers at the workplace to handle a pressuring context of work by managing the
workforce and keeping them motivated all the time. This resultantly necessitates the
leaders and managers to posses some impelling traits with some affluent qualities that
includes- Interpersonal skills, Conflict handling, Decision making skills and Time
management skills.

Interpersonal skills- It is referred to be a foremost requisition of the leaders
to make continual interaction with their workers. For which, they should
hereby carry profound social abilities by which they can directly tend to
interact with their respective set of employees. It is along with yet another
prime requisition of cultural norms that is basically to respect the distinct
ethical norms of a divergent workforce. It is thereby on referring to my
own interpersonal skills, where I duly respect variant societal norms of all
individuals that helps me to make a friendly interaction with all
individuals.

Conflict handling- It is yet another major trait of a manager where a disputed
context at the workplace is a non predictable measure that can arise among
anyone and anytime with no prior consent of the workers. It is hereby
important for the leaders to ably resolve a prevalent set of issue at the
workplace for a smooth transition of work at the workplace. I therefore
possess some pertinent abilities in resolving any conflicted situation at the
workplace where I firstly believe to listen and interpret the existent issue at
the workplace and take subsequent measures to resolve the same.
