INTRODUCTION
Workplace transformation are the actions that are taken by the business organisation so
that they are able to deal with change. The external business environment is diverse and there is
need to understand that there is impact of external events of the working of business organisation
(Subramanian, 2018). The company has to take necessary actions of transformation so that they
are able to achieve success and growth. One of the recent event that has changed the working
pattern of the businesses is Covid-19 that us global pandemic. It has caused the situation of lock
down in the nation and that impacted the business organisation in an adverse manner. The
management of organisations understood that there is need to bring change in the working
pattern in order to cope up with the situation. At the same time, there is need to bring changes so
that the working of the company is enhanced. The requirement of transformation was understood
by the business organisation (Dolev, Itzkovich and Fisher-Shalem, 2021). The employees were
also made ready to accept the changes. It is seen that the global pandemic accelerated the
transformation process in the company. The negative impact of Covid can be eliminated only by
transforming the ways of working that were used. This report is based on Z hotel that is
established in UK. There was negative impact of Covid-19 on hospitality industry. There is
discussion related to the strategies that were formulated by the hotel in order to bring
transformation. There were some challenges that the company faced in implementing the
strategies and they are also mentioned in the report. The methodology that is being used to
conduct the research is also discussed in the report.

case study on Z Hotel.

Literature review
To understand the impact of global pandemic on an organisation
According to Nagel, 2020, Covid-19 has impacted the business organisation directly. The
working pattern of the businesses haver changed. The performance of the employees were also
negative. The main impact was of the employees of the company. They were demotivated and
that reduces the productivity of the employees. It is seen that the hospitality industry provides
services to the employees and the pandemic put a stop to the operations. They were facing issues
in attracting the customers. It is analysed the customers became conscious about their health and
due the reason there were problems. It is seen that the customers were not going out and it
impacted the sales of the Z hotel. The employees were also demotivated. Thy were worried about
the job. The demotivation faced by the employees was also problematic. It is being analysed that
some of the employees left the place and went to their home town because of pandemic
(Karodia, 2019). It is necessary to note that the management was also in problematic situation
and that impacts the business. Then it was understood that it is time to change and bring
workplace transformation.
To examine the strategies adopted by business organisation to bring transformation
As per Moore, 2018, Workplace transformation includes the set of actions that are being
taken by a company so that they are able to cope up with the situation. It is necessary to note that
after analysing the impact of pandemic the business organisations are aware and ready to take
transforming actions. By conducting proper research and help of all the employees some
strategies are formulated by Z hotel, First of all having digital presence is necessary for the
company. It is the era of digitalisation. To attract the customers there is need to use digital
marketing. The use of social media platforms help the company the hotel keep the customers
informed about the actions taken by the company. It is important to use right platforms so that
the right customers are captured and served. Use of omni-channel marketing will help the
company to achieve goals and objectives in a successful manner. The regular post related to
sanitising facility being used by the company attract customers towards the business. It is seen
that they are able to form effective image in the and of customers.
