INTRODUCTION
People and Performance plays a major role in HRM. This element considers a working
environment where people are motivated to perform the quality work. The main goal of human
resource management is to increase the performance of organisation's employee. The people and
performance are the part of HRM. A working of employee determine its performance. To
achieve the organisation's goal, people and performance both are necessary. Performance
management is to determine the goals and objectives whereas people are determined to provide
the training, guidance to the employees. Crystal travel is an UK based travel agency which
provides the advice of tour and travels. The headquarters is in London and founded on 1987.
This company is a part of More-sand groups. They offers a wide range of services to the
customer's including tickets of over 150 airlines with the hotel bookings, providing holiday
packages and many more. The company holds the award of British travel, 2018. It is a company
which considers several travel's companionship like Sam travel, air travel guru, flights to India &
air travel guide. They offers best services, guidance and consultant regarding planning the trip
or tour package(Hossain, Ahsan, Nadi and et .al, 2022).

Tools and Techniques which helps in Improving Organisational Performance
Establish clear objectives: Objectives should be clearly decided. This allows a company
to decide what is their main focus should be. This will results in achieving the desired
goals within time. Crystal travels set clear objectives and discusses it with their
employees properly. This will clear the view of employees and hence resulting in
increased working performance(Rehman Khan, Yu, Sarwat and et. Al,2022).
Set small-daily tasks: Small task will reduce working load over employees resulting in
reduced stress and anxiety and more time to rest and work. Setting tasks daily will
prevent any kind of confusion and negativity at work. This will also helps the employees
in maintaining their time, resulting in enhancing the performance of organization. Crystal
travels maintains daily targets and a positive working environment which leads to the
satisfaction of employees. This will also help the company to achieve the desired goals at
time and hence, their performance of organization will increase.

Performance Appraisal: It is one of the top technique of improving organizational
performance. It is the regular check in to the job or working performance of employees
within the organization. Through regular check in, a company can improve it's employees
performance and hence, overall organizational performance can be improved. It is done
through various methods. At Crystal Travels it is done by: MBO (Management by
Objectives) and BARS (Behaviourally Anchored Rating Scale). In MBO, managers take
regular meeting with the employees then give them tasks and asks them to complete it
within deadline. In BARS, manager check the performance through working behaviour of
employees.
Employee well being scheme: Company uses this scheme in boosting the employee's
productivity by maintaining a healthy working environment. Employee well being not
only helps in maintaining physical health of employee but also in maintaining the other
components of well being. Crystal travels uses this scheme to maintain healthy and
improved working culture. It leads to improved interaction in between employees
resulting in better performance of teams and hence increasing the overall organizational
performance(Purwanto, Novitasari and Asbari, 2022).
Personal Development Plans: PDP is a form of self-evaluation and self-reflection which
is used in any organization for not only help the employees in improving the weaknesses
and performance but can also help them to develop their strengths. Crystal Travels firstly
set the goals to achieve, then they set the deadlines at which the goals have to be
achieved. After setting goals, they identify the opportunities and threats then the ways to
develop the skills within the organization. Then they measure their progress. This will
help them in improving the overall performance of organization.
Real-time feedback: A feedback is the response about the person's performance which is
necessary to improve the overall performance of an organization. Regular feedback will
let the manager know about the capabilities of his employees. Crystal Travels usually
take feedbacks of their employees in every six months. They conduct regular meetings
and check ins at their employees performance. It also give rewards to the employees who
are working well. In this way organizational performance increases.

Role of Employee Well being in improving Motivation and Performance
Employee well being is the optimization of not only physical health but also the other
components of the well being of employees. It can be used to increase employee's engagement,
reducing sickness, their absence and enhancing their performance and productivity. Crystal
Travels use employee well being in improving the motivation and performance of their
employees in the following ways:
As employee well being gives flexibility towards working, it helps the employees to
improve their working performance and hence the organizational performance too.
Crystal travels focus and maintain flexibility which builds trust, loyalty, productivity and
connectivity among their employees. It helps the company to improve motivation among
employees and hence their performance. The employees are flexible to adapt the changes
and give better quality work(He,Cheng, Swanson and et. Al, 2021).
Working environment have a significant impact on the working health of the
employees. Good environment leads the employees to work with more of their efficiency
and positive motivation which leads to enhance their working performance. Crystal
travels maintains a healthy and satisfactory working environment so that their workers
can be satisfied and work properly which leads to enhance the organizational
performance. The firm take care of the employees, refresh them so that they don't get
exhaust and tired by doing work.
Employee well being also promotes a financially healthy environment. This will help
the company to hold on the employees. Crystal travels helps their employees in being
financially healthy by providing them enough salary to run their lives, by providing them
advance salary if needed, etc. They also offers money management advices which helps
their employees in maintaining their financial budget and preventing wastage of money.
Apart from this well being programs also helps in reducing health care costs(Salas‐
Vallina, Alegre and López‐Cabrales, 2021).
Employee well being also encourage social interaction as it promotes good relationships
with colleagues which is beneficial for mental health and keep the employee motivated.

employees by rewarding them. This will result in motivating the employees performance.
A company provide the extra pay to the employees for achieving the goals and
objectives. The performance appraisal indirectly helps in growing the business.

Nowadays, people are very fond of travelling, they may travel due to business purpose or any

guidance to the people's. PESTLE (political, economical, social, technological, legal and
environmental) analysis helps to determine the approaching of this firm. It is used to identify the
factors which affects the firm. In reference to crystal travels, external factors are explained
below:
Political Factor : The political factor is accompanying with authorities issue, the
government hindrance in an economy. Such as levy tax, labour laws, leadership, foreign
trade policy, tariff rates and many more. The traveller's can visit any of the country across
the globe(Raad, 2019). A government has opened up all the boundaries for tourists. But
there are some formalities imposed by government such as required visa, medical test for
some countries. With regards to crystal travel agency, they provide you international trips
also which influence the industry. The travel agency handles all the government's
imposed formalities and they provide all the prior bookings.
Economical Factor: This is related with nation's economy. As the economy is rising,
people are able to spend on travel. Citizens have disposable income to spend and can
afford the international trips. With the increasing economy growth, Travel and Tourism
industry get benefited. An Uber and Air bnb are companies which render the user
friendly services to the people and influence the tourism industry. In the regards of
crystal travel agency, the company provides the offers and best range of package which

Social Factor: Social factor includes the cultural aspect, attitude, behaviour of people,
growth rate, age distribution, gender & health consciousness. People are being aware
about the culture and desire to experience the new culture, for which they travel to the
different countries. In all over the globe now the races and other religions are accepted
which provides growth to the tourism industry. In the relation with crystal agency, the
social factor now does not affect in negative ways, positively the people are socially
accepted all over . The citizen can go in any country and can enjoy the culture.
Technological Factor : Nowadays technology is rising rapidly and would affect cost,
quality and leads to better innovation. The transportation system has developed so people
can easily travel. In ancient times, there were the local buses, limited airlines but as now
in modern age the private buses with high facilities, AC buses and trains, over airlines
across the country which can be easily accessible by people. With the context of the
crystal travel agency, they are providing the good facilities at low prices. The company
has developed the website which can easily operate by any user, from website the prices
and offers can avail, also the pictures and blogs are shared to get idea about the trip and
packages.
Legal Factor : Legal factor includes laws and legal framework to be considered. In the
travel and tourism industry this factor does not affect highly(Westcott and Anderson,
2021). The legal procedure includes visa and other documentation required for
international trips. In consideration with the crystal travel agency, the travel company
completes all the legal process of travellers in prior so that they does not bother
afterwards. People can enjoy the trip without any worries as all the documentation work
are to be done by travel agency.
Environmental Factor: This factor highly affects the tourism industry. The modes of
transportation creates the pollution in environment. As more the transport use, it causes
more pollution. The travellers causes the more pollution as they throw the garbage

It is concluded that people and performance is an feature of HRM. The senior officials
has to keep an eye on the employee to furnish the better quality of work. To get the good work
the people should be well trained(Morais,2021). The crystal travels agency is an UK based travel
and tourism firm. An employees working in the firm are trained, skilled and qualified. In order
to get the better performance, initially they set up their goals and objectives to achieve them. To
improve the performance employees are flexible that they could adapt easily. There are also
some factors which affect the industry like environmental factor and economical factor.
