IntroductionOwn development of an individual is to be called as personal and professional development. Inthe development plan an individual to achieve his/her target sets a development plan. Forunderstanding the procedure of personal and development we have to understand that anindividual can developed him or her with the help of self-learning activity. The approachesrelated to self-learning that an individual be able to maintain or develop his/her profession skillsas well as the personal skills. We will set the targets for the future to get well familiar with personal and professionaldevelopment and to see whether it’s actually help an individual development and also about thevarious aspects with the help of which an individual can develop his/her skills whether itspersonal or professional. We would also get help regarding that is there any transferable skillswhich would help the individual to develop the personal and professional life at an individuallevel. We would also see the problems which are faced by an individual in the development ofhis or her personal as well as professional skills. person can develop his/her professional and personal skills, some of the approaches are asfollows:Setting future Goals:The most common approach is the setting of future goals as it is very important for an individualto understand what he/she have to do in the future after setting the goals for the future anindividual can do work in an efficient manner to achieve those goals and it will also help indeveloping an individual’s personal as well as professional skills. Whenever a person sets a goalmotivation factor should be there to achieve that goal. Future goals has to be very clear in themind and also a action plan shoulf be effective on the perticular aim. (Dunlosky & Kornell,2011)Seminars and conferences: For the development of personal and professional skills there are seminars and conferences areheld in which the persons can learn various things which would help them in the development oftheir skills. There are lots of seminars and conferences held in the context of the development ofan individual at personal as well as professional level. Seminars and conferences help thepersons about various ways through which an individual can develop their professional as well asthe personal skills. In seminar so many types of activities are there to improve the persnality ,way of talking, behavioural techniques and sense of humour. So many speakers are there tomotivate you, to enhace your knowledge and to make a hope in you. Seminars and conferencesare specially organised for these kind of purpose. (Bourner & Boud, 2010)Personal Strategies:The person would have to make some strategies regarding the development of the personal aswell as the professional skills which he/she would have to follow in the daily routine as well asin the strict manner in which it is included starting of morning, habit of reading newspaper ondaily basis, food that have to eat in the breakfast. There must be an effective plan for thedevelopment of the skills and has to be followed in the strict way to develop the professional and

personal skills. Plan should have the elements which are used in daily routine like way of talkingwith youngsters, with seniors, with juniors. The body language is also so important factor in thedevelopment plan for personality improvement. Internet: It is the most common method used for enhancing the skills of an individual as itprovides knowledge and information on various fields and one can learn properly by browsingabout the topic for getting the understanding on the same. People could have knowledge on anytopic by surfing on internet and this knowledge can be shared among the co-workers forspreading the knowledge among all. There also some issue with the internet, people gotdistracted from their goal just because of social media like facebook, twitter and other. So It isessential to be careful about all these things. Social networks: Social networks are the best effective method to interact with each other in thepresent business world. It helps in interacting with the people working at different geographicallocations and in different departments and the knowledge and learning can be shared with eachother. For example the facebook users can interact with each other and can share there issue andgenaral things. So many people have improved their by accessing on social networks, as theykeeps talking with others online and have learned a lot things from them. Research: Research can be done to gain knowledge about various topics which are helpful inbringing the effectiveness in the work of organisations and also help in developing andindividual personally and professionally. The method of researching about any subject or anyentity is so fruitful to develop the skills and knowledge. The research on any specific topic canbe done on web or by a walking process. It improves the understanding to the environment andalso increase the stability in work. ConclusionSelf-managed learning helps in providing better experience to people and it further helps in thepersonal and professional development of an individual which also helps the business indirectlyas experienced people can provide their experience in completing the tasks which bringsefficiency.

P.1.2 Ways in which lifelong learning in personal and professional contexts couldencourageAs we know that the learning is the processes which will never end means it is keep on going, itis a continuous process so persons keep on trying to learn new things. As there are lots of thingswhich are new to every individual as no one is perfect so the process of learning is keep ongoing. (Bjork & Boud, 2012).For learning in the context of personal as well as professional thepersons has to do certain things such as: SWOT AnalysisSTRENGTHA person must know about his or her strengthsthat what are the main strength of the personsand continue with their strengths. He shouldknow about the inner potential on which he canwork with his stuffs. WEAKNESSThe persons must also have the knowledgeabout their weakness and make some goals toremove those weaknesses. There should be aplan to overcome to those weaknesses and alterthe limitations. OPPORTUNITYThe persons must have to choose theiropportunities which are available for them andmust choose that opportunity which providesbenefit for the development. It does not matterthat opportunity is smal or big. In everysituation person should be in the ready state. THREATThe persons must also check their threatswhich become barrier in the process ofdevelopment and make strategies to overcomethose barriers. Hurdles are everywhere but tocut out them a persson should have therequired skills and knowledge. The SWOT analysis must be done by the person on regular basis as it helps in development ofthe personal and professional skills of the persons. (Leeman, 2013)

Continuous professional development: It means the personal and professional growth of anindividual by learning continuously from the experiences and the events that take place duringthe course of time. Continuous development can be adopted by an individual, a team or by theorganization as a whole. Continuous learning means that the situations are not same always andwith change in time and situations, an individual learns new skills and knowledge which helps inadapting to various new situations and solving new problems in the organization. It also helps anindividual to adapt to the changed policies and procedures, to the new culture and innovationwith new technologies. This continuous learning will not only provide benefits to the learner butalso to the organization. Continuous professional development increses the adaptability as ineach situation, a person or an organisation should be there to learn and execute their work withcompeleteness. Leadership: Effective leadership is an important part of the lifelong learning in the organization.It helps an individual to learn that how people from different backgrounds and level can bebrought together to achieve a common objective. It also makes a person learn that how he couldinfluence people to make them work for the common goals of an individual and of organization.For example in an organisation people are working on different different designations but all theemployees do work for a single company and for a single objective that company wants toachieve. Good relationships: The companies are nowadays not limited to local operations but to theglobal operations which requires good relationships among different employees andorganisations which is also possible through good level of communication among people. Thisnot only maintains good relationships but also helps in performing the basic task in managementlike planning, organisation, controlling and managing people and operations. For this,communication skills should be taught to people in the organisation for long lasting developmentand learning of new skills and knowledge. Maintaining a good realtionship by an organisationinternally and externally, in both ways it should be remarkable. Employees should be satisfiedby the policies of company and also the client should be satisfied after getting a better service.Motivation: Motivation brings satisfaction among the employees from the job and they began tolearn for lifelong while performing in the jobs so that they can develop themselves personally

For this, the employees should get motivation to work and developthemselves which will increase and enhance the efficiency of the employees and they will bemore productive for the business. Each organisation have to arrange some activities for therefreshment of the empoyees. The employees should have the friendly environment in theorganisation that they can work with no hasitation.Apprenticeship: apprenticeship is the system in which the new joiners and employees aretrained during the course of their jobs. This helps in setting up the knowledge and skills in theemployees and makes them capable to achieve the objectives of the organisation. It prepares thestudents for the lifelong learning in the organisations. The students or new employees learn thestrategies, skills and problem solving methods through this process of learning. A trainingprogram should be in the organisation to ensure the trainees to work with their abilities. Learningactivities must have the basic idea about the job description. The deep knowledge aboutorganisation can be useful for the employees. Self-Reflective LearningIt is the process which helps the persons in continuous learning in an effective way and with thehelp of this person learns new things which are necessary for the personal as well as for theprofessional development. (Bruijn & Graves, 2014). The person can learn more things from hispasts as it helps in knowing about the mistakes which was done in the past and it helps not tofollow those mistakes in future and keep on working on those mistakes so that in the future thosemistakes will become assets for the person. When person learn from his/ her experience it willfixed in the mind of the persons and it was not easy to forget those things in the future.Analysing the own background to make an idea about what is the best qualities in you, and howyou can show those qualities in your work. Councelling is the way by which the person can seeself reflection. To learn something it is so important to deal with your own limitations.
