INTRODUCTION
This project discuss about various personal and professional development skills. This
technique motivates individual to effectively perform their task. This technique helps individual
to identify their skills (Casanave and Schecter, 2012). Further this project discus about
evaluation of approaches to self-managed learning, different propose ways that help in lifelong
learning in personal and professional context, evaluation of importance of self-managed learning,
evaluation of own current skills and competencies against professional standards and
organisational objectives, identifying own development needs and activities that are necessary to
meet them, identifying development needs and activities that will satisfy future needs, personal
and professional development plans according to requirement, discussing process and activities
that are required to implement development plans, undertaking development activities, aim and
objectives of development plans, updated development plans based on feedback and evaluation,
Select solutions to work-based problems, communication in different styles in appropriate
manner at all management level and evaluation and importance of time management techniques.
TASK 1
1.1 Evaluation of approaches to self managed learning
This technique help in personal and professional development of individuals. There are
various principle that help in self-assessment process. If individual has certain quality these
techniques will assist individuals in gaining lifelong advantage learning. Personal development
technique play major role in achieving goals (Stenfors-Hayes and et.al., 2010). This technique
help in increasing commitment of individuals towards their job. There are various approaches
that can be adopted to encourage self-managed learning of individuals, some of them are as
follows.
Seminars and conferences : individuals get opportunity to learn and develop themselves through
seminars and conferences. It is an effective that help employees to enhance their performance
and skills. In seminar people get to learn about new things. It provides platform for individuals to
present their knowledge. Seminars and conferences motivate individual to express their feelings
in front of public (Throop and Castellucci, 2010). This help in improving communication and
presentation skills of individual. These skills are very useful for individual and organisation.
Seminars help in all round growth and development of individual.

Social networks: there are different networking sites like Facebook, twitter, etc. individuals are
likely to spend their time on these site. They create account to interact and communicate with
people all around world. Individual can use social media site to share information and
knowledge. People can apply various techniques to succeed in careers. This can be used as an
effective tool to assist personal development of individual.
Internet : there are different research sites like google scholar which help individual in gathering
academic articles. These are written by professional writers, who are experts in their fields.
There are wide range of subjects that provide knowledge to individual (Throop and Castellucci,
2010). General surfing on internet allow people to gather information about subject like business,
management studies, etc. People analyse data and use their interpretation at work place.
Self managed technique help individual to gain knowledge about different topics.
1.2 Different propose ways that help in life long learning in personal and professional context
Lifelong learning deals with continuous development of personality. Every person has
strength and weakness. It is very important to identify them. There are various techniques that
help in self evaluation of individuals. This help in boosting of morale within people and
improving there relationship. There are different techniques that are useful in self analysis, some
of them are as follows Continuous learning : this process help in overall growth and development of employees.
As a manager I will organise various events and seminars for personality development of
employees. This technique can be applied to individual and group of individual. To
accomplish goals of individual continuous learning play an important role. This process
is subject to changing environment of business. I will continuously change my techniques
according to goals and objectives of organisation. Continuous learning deals gradual
development of skills and understanding power of individual. As a manager I will
develop thinking skills and knowledge of employees. Growth and development of
individual will provide great benefit to organisation. Effective leadership : this technique is adopted by managers to develop interpersonal
dynamics of individual. As a leader I will influence behaviour of employees. I will
motivate them to work together to accomplish objectives of organisation. I will guide
them to tackle difficult situation. I will encourage them to work as team.
