INTRODUCTION Personal and professional development is defined as a process in which an organisation or an individual engages with an aim to learn or meet the desired challenges and goals. This procedure facilitate towards development in both personal as well as professional manner. While if it is talked about reflection, it is termed as an analytical practice that allows to describe or express the past actions and experiences in an effective manner (Havea and Mohanty, 2020). With the assistance of reflection individual can access experience that has been undergone by them. It allow towards evaluation of self strength as well as weaknesses through which future growth and development can be ascertained. In this report formative discussion has been conducted on self reflection of personal as well as professional leadership and managerial skill like presentation, time management, stress management and more. In order to underline self reflection Kolb's reflective cycle is being undertaken. PART 2 An individual by having efficient employability skills can assure accomplishment of their professional as well as personal growth in an effective manner. There are wide range of employability skills through which overall development can be assured (Liou and Canrinus, 2020). As per my viewpoint, employability skills like presentation skills, time management, leadership style and more assist an individual to acquire different types of skills for more growth and development.It has been evaluated that some certain form of skills has been developed by me for which I undertake use of counselling and coaching. These skills assist me to conduct tasks and activities in scheduled time by acting as a multitasker. It effectively allow me to maximises my productivity atgreat extent through which I can assure fulfilment of goals in an effective manner. Leadership: Leadership skills facilitate an individual to provide proper guidance and motivation to a team or group in order to fulfil predetermined objectives or shared goals. With the help of these skills goals can be accomplished with great efficiency and effectiveness. According to the evaluation it has been underlined by me that leadership skill is being acquired by me with the help of observation as I observe behaviour of my subordinates, seniors and peers. With the help of this I gradually enhance leadership skills within me through which I provide effective 1
guidanceand lead other individuals towards fulfilment of objectives and goals. Furthermore, this has been evaluated by me that learning of leadership skills developscommunication skills within me through which I can effectively foster positive relationship with my co-workers, peers, subordinates and seniors. This skill also benefit me to develop trust with other while having healthy communication with them. Communication skills is having tendency to present views and opinions in effective manner. By taking formative advantage of this skill I can effectively allow myself to resolve problems and issues in an efficient manner. In addition to this, it has been determined by me that communication skills effectively assist me as a leader as with the help of this skill I can provide clear set of direction and guidance to team members and individual towards accomplishment of goals with great effectiveness. Furthermore, it has been underlined by me that communication skill encourages me to enhance my engagement in different activities such as decision making process and develop healthy relationship with others. Team work: It is one of the most important skill through which accomplishment of goals and objectives can be done in effective manner in proper time frame. Team working skills increase coordination among individual through which they can perform goals and objectives with higher efficiency (Karlberg and Bezzina, 2020). It has been evaluated by me that I am a confident person that enhances by team working skills in an effective manner. This will further facilitate me towards acquiring skills and informations from other team members through which I can maximise my professional effectiveness as well as future growth. As per the analysis it has been evaluated by me that, nowadays large number of organisations promotes team working culture in order to fulfil goals and objectives with more efficiency. Thus by having this skill I can effectively assure my career growth and development in an effective manner. Organisation/ Time Management: Organisation and time management skill is playing most important role for an individual as it allow them to fulfil requirements of activities in proper time frame. Time management skill is having significant tendency through which tasks and objectives can be done in time effective and systematic manner. It has been evaluated by me both these skills, time and organisation management is acting as most important elements as well as a powerful combination that enhances individual career growth and efficiency to fulfil objectives within accurate time standard. Kolb’s reflective model Kolb's reflective models defines significance of reflection in an individual learning cycle. By taking advantage of reflection individual or students can express their idea or past experience in an effective manner (Sale, 2020). Reflection allows to identify activities that went wrong or not as per the plan. With the help of this individual can maximise the skill gap with different learning as well as observation practices. Mentioned below four stages of Kolb's reflective cycle is being defined in order to underline reflection past experience. Concrete experience: It is the first stage of Kolb's reflective cycle that include individual performance within a group,teamorinanindividualbasisinaworkplacestructure.Withtheadvantageof involvement practical exercises I have effectively develop my effectiveness of team games, problem-solving, presentation and debates as to accomplish requirements of my roles in a well define and effective manner. Reflective observation: It is Kolb' second most important stage, in this I will effectively engage in the process of reviewing my past performance in order to determined the things that I has been experienced by me. For this, I will take out time that I used to invest in my daily basis activities. without any form of hesitation. In order to review by performance I can undertake advantage of observation and feedbacks. Abstract conceptualisation: Being the third stage of Kolb's reflective cycle, abstract conceptualisation stage involves activities that are related making sense of past experience along with formative interpretation of event. In order to access my past experience I have undertaken the comparison between what I have accomplished against set standards. In order to undertake this procedures I use theories, facts, ideas from colleagues, observation and more. To allocate different theories as well as ideas research skillassist to fulfil my objectives with more effectiveness. Active experimentation: It is the last stag of Kolb's reflective model within which I mainly focus upon the way in which undertake reflection of my past practice or experience. In order to effectively evaluate my past experience I take use of planning skill that facilitate me towards having understanding of my past experience through which I translate those experiences in an effective manner. Prime motive to conduct this process is to identify past mistakes and make future predictions as to effectively maximise my skill effectiveness and growth. In order to conduct this process I undertake use of problem-solving skillas to overcome the problems that has been experience by me in past and overcome them with great effectiveness in order to maximise future growth in effective manner. CONCLUSION As per the above mentioned report it has been underlined that employment and study skills such as problem-solving, team work, time management, research and more facilitate an individual to increase personal as well as professional competence. It allows them to ensure future growth and development in a well define and effective manner. In order to engage in the process of continuous learning it is essential to identify strength and weaknesses in order to overcome them in stipulated period of time. For this reflection proves to be an effective process through which an individual can express or evaluate their past mistakes and can further overcome them in order to maximise efficiency of employability skills in order to assure future development and growth. 4
