INTRODUCTIONPersonal and professional development (PPD) aims to develop and manage growth andlearning of a person throughout there career. It has become essential part of not only individualbut also of an organisation. In this complex competitive world individual have to suffer frommany problems in his personal as well as professional life. PPD is a process through whichindividual to meet those challenges and work to achieve his desired goals (Jasper, 2011). PPDhelp person to analyse there skills and prepare a plan through a person or a group can haveoverall development (Kirstein and et. al., 2012). Personal professional development accomplishthe development need of person not only at personal level but also through professional levelthrough its constant learning procedure. The current report gives detail study of the importance of self managed learning, it willinclude different activity through which an individual or organisation can enhance there currentskills to meet there objectives and to have better stand in this competitive world. TASK 11.1 Approaches of self manage learningThe main principle on which personal and professional development work is selfassessment process and self learning (McNiff, 2010.). Individual with certain aspect in therepersonality trait help them to gain advantages in achieving there goals and life long learning.Self managed is way through which a person can manage their own learning. self learning inorganisation are done through setting up different programmes or activity which can beaccommodate according the structure of organisation and can ensure that the staff developmentare done within certain direction (Merriam, Caffarella and Baumgartner, 2012). Approachesinclude different activities like learning from mistakes, trainings, experience, self assessment etc.VAK give three major learning style:Visual: Learning through observing diagrams, pictures, mind map etc.Auditory: focuses on listening.Kinaesthetic: based on practical or physical knowledge like touching, holding etc. 1
