INTRODUCTION
Personal development plan could be referred to an action plan which is used for
identification of goal of a student, their strengths and weaknesses, areas of improvement and
actions for meeting the goals. It helps learners to learn something new together with achieve new
heights in career (Meisha and Al‐dabbagh, 2021). The present personal development plan is
prepared for HR Manager which is a profession wherein an individual oversee activities
including recruitment, interviewing, selection, training and development of new staff.
The assessment includes analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of a
student. It further includes setting goals and personal development plan.
MAIN BODY
Stage 1: Analysis
Personal analysis is a phase of self-evaluation wherein an individual identifies their
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. With this, a student is able to assess themselves
for planning a career. It could be done at any phase of life in order to determine educational
choices, self-improvement or growth opportunities. To perform personal analysis, a skill audit is
effective.
Skill audit
It is assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviour of an individual. It is concerned with
analysing needs and personal development (Cunningham and Stein, 2018). For making career as
HR Manager, my skill audit is as follows:

My strength to make career as HR Manager are as identified:
Good with public speaking: I have analysed that my public speaking skill is
good as I am able to speak fluently to group of listeners in engaging as well as
comfortable manner.
Strategic thinking: My strategic thinking is great as I have an intentional along
with rational thought process which emphasises more on analysing critical factors
as well as variables which influences long term success of mine.
People orientation: I am more people oriented as I prefer engaging directly with
people in my day to day work life.
Presentation skill: My presentation skill is excellent that help me to create
innovative ideas for illustrating talks with others.
Weaknesses:
My weaknesses for career in HR Manager are as determined:
Lack of time management: I fail to manage my time in various activities as I
have no control over my time because of which I end up letting tasks sit at last
minute.
Limited forward thinking competence: I lack forward thinking capability due to
limited emphasis on finding sustainable work life balance.
Low command on technology: My command over technology is low as I have
low knowledge about emerging technology that makes me low confident in using
advanced technologies to finish tasks.
