Introduction
The personal promotional plan creates the personal mission statement depending on
abilities of individuals (Gainsbury et al.) In the other words, the personal promotional plan can
be considered as the strategic marketing plan that helps for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency
of the personal image or brand. The significance of developing personal promotional plan is it
helps to build the identity, which beings the benefits in the corporate and business practices. In
the current scenario, social media has become one of the effective marketing tools that can help
to grab the attention of large numbers of customers at a time. In that case, it cannot be denied
that after the introduction of social media in marketing industry, promotional activities have
become easier than before. The purpose of this study is to shed light on developing as self-
promotional plan, in which my abilities as well as my knowledge has been discussed. Being a
student of cinematography, I want to establish myself as a popular film maker in the film making
industry. Through the learning process, I will measure my abilities, which are required for
becoming a good film maker. In this study, I will discuss about the knowledge which have been
gathered by me during the learning process. Depending on my future career plan, objectives of
mine will be clarified through this study.

Aim and objectives
Aim of this promotional plan is to introduce my skills and abilities to the people through
my struggling story. Being an engineering student, how my passion towards film making has
been aroused will be discussed with the people. By developing the promotional plan, I want to
encourage the people, who also have the passion for being a film maker.
To measure my abilities for becoming a well-known cinematographer within coming 5 to
10 years
To introduce different abilities and skills of mine through the self-promotional plan
To provide recommendations depending on my strength and weakness for betterment
Target market
Target market plays an important role in every promotional activities. As per my
understanding, it is very important for the people to understand the actual target market
depending on in which the promotional activities can be developed (Jones et al.). Target market
can be developed depending on different segments such as demographic, psychographic and
geographic. In the demographic segmentation, I will chose all age group of people as due to
increasing technological innovation social media has become common to the people. I believe,
my stories mainly reflect the practical life of people. In that case, all age group of people will be
targeted for the self-promotional practices. On the other hand, depending on the psychographic
segments, depending on the interest of people target market will be selected. People who have
interest in film making and who mostly watch movies will be targeted by me for my promotional
activities. Depending on the geographic segment, people, who belong from urban areas will be

targeted by me as they mostly use the social media. I believer, identifying the target market, it
will be easier for me to introduce an effective promotional plan for gaining attention of the
viewers.
Abilities of mine
Analyzing my abilities it has been identified that I have great passion for being a
cinematographer. I have my own understanding that can help me to interoperate my thinking to
the visual world. Being a student of cinematography, in the initial stage, I want to work under a
film maker or a cameraman, so that I can gain more knowledge regarding the film making
process. As per my understanding, this can also increase my creativity, which I will be able to
use in my career. I believe, a have good technological skills, which can be beneficial in terms of
using the modern software in the filmmaking process. Visual story telling capability of mine can
be considered as the biggest strength, which will be sufficient for grabbing the attention of the
viewers. I believe, in order to establish myself as a successful cinematographer, I need to focus
on improving my leadership skills. Depending on the leadership ability of a film maker, it
becomes easier for the person to lead an effective film making team by solving its challenges.
Tool and techniques used in the self-promotion plan
Research and development
In order to develop successful promotional strategy in the market, research and
development plays an important role (Parveen et al.). It also plays an important role for
identifying the potential customers in the market. In case of film making industry, developing a
comprehensive promotional strategy is important for a film maker to promote his creativity and
innovation abilities to the people. In the other words, it cannot be denied that promotion is being
