1REFLECTION SHEET Model MBTI From the MBTI model or Myers-Briggs personality test I have understood that it is an introspective self-report test which indicates various types of psychological preferences in the understanding of the individuals and perceptions to see the world around them. Based on these they respond and behave. There are four sets of psychological scales that captures the key points of the personality. These are extroversion and introversion, sensing and intuition, thinking and feeling and finally the judging and perception scale. This model effects on mitigating conflicts by helping me to differentiate people based on their personality and identify different method to solve the problem. I learnt about myself that I possess such a personality which can help me to identify the methods which I shall apply to manage my team members and communicate my thoughts to them to get a positive response in the team. I need to open up more and be more expressive through my communication skill. Moreover, I need to make decision more responsibly rather than rushing to make decision. Model DISC I have understood the factors like dominance, influence, steadiness and conscientious to understand normal human behaviors and perspectives. This model refers to the behaviors as well as perspectives derived from the individual’s normal and healthy psychology. This model has helped me to understand my own perspectives and behaviors. Based on this understanding I understood the reasons of the conflicts among the team members and motivate them quite easily.
2REFLECTION SHEET DISC tool has helped me to understand the influencing factor present in me. I am a sturdy person to stay consistent in my behavior which helped me to utilize the strength of the team members and manage these differences based on the diversity of culture. In this regard I have understood that I have to reduce the dominance factor in me which has created problems in past and made me appear dominating over other’s ideas. Model Johari Window I have understood that this tool helps the people understand their relationship better with themselves and others. This technique is used mainly in the self-help groups or corporate settings like heuristic exercise. There are four cells of Johari Window which include Façade or hidden, open or area, bind spot and unknown. In mitigating conflict, I needed to understand my own personality both open as well as hidden. This showed the reason of conflict among the team members based on which I had to strategize and solve all the issues. Through this window I have pointed out that I have several open as well as hidden qualities like complexity, responsive, confident, bold, empathetic, and dependable. I intend to reduce the qualities like self-consciousness and tense nature. This have affected my confidence and manipulated decision making process. Transactional Analysis Transactional Analysis is one of the most potent techniques to determine the ego state of the individuals base on which the conflicts in the team can be mitigated. This has three facts like Parentor exteropsyche, Adult or neopsyche and Child or archaeopsyche. The parent state or the taught state, an adult state or the thought state and the child state or the felt state differentiate the

This has haled me to understand behavior among the team members as they demanded to avoid conflicts regarding any cross-cultural issue. Through this model, I have understood that I am currently in the child state which compels me to feel more about many things and try to find the solution though feeling the problems more sympathetically. I want to change my child state to adult state so that I can make decision more effectively so that any type of miscommunication or conflict do not arise in the team. Istatement Through proper understanding of these personality tools like Johari window, MBTI, TA and DISC, I have gained knowledge about the personality and behavioral aspects of the team members which have helped me in the process of team building and maintaining the team efficiently. I will be assertive always if I have proper knowledge about the expectations and attitudes of my team members. These tools will help me to understand the subtle issues in the minds of the people and prevent the little most problems from being originated. Through these tools I have understood various aspects of my own personality and identified the methods how to manage myself at the time of any problem. Proper knowledge of my own self will help me in realizing other’s personality based on which I will be able to utilize the strength of the team members in future. I want to reduce the sympathetic factor in me and try to manage others’ thoughts not to affect my own ideas and thoughts. I shall reduce my criticality and judgmental ideas and think the matters simply.
