Reflective learning refers to form of education where the student reflects over their
learning experiences. It is also cited as complex and intentional process which recognises role of
the social experience and context (Rubens and et.al., 2018). Reflection will state about the
personalised experience with foundation learning programmes.
Coming to university I was not very much confident and interrogative in talking with
people. My writing skills were good but oral communication were not god and strong. I was
trying to work on my weakness and enhance my strengths of taking the challenges, working in
new environment good computer skills in my initial days. I was not aware about how my
weaknesses could be improved. This was causing me problem to work with others as I was not
accepting other's work.
Team work was also an issue for me as I was an introvert person. However gradually I
got some friends in the university that initiated the interaction with me. They involved me in the
projects and extra-curricular activities. They also suggested me the methods through which I
could improve my skills and weaknesses. They suggested me the online classes for
communication skills, to practice the technical knowledge along with studies and so on. They
included me in team activities where I learned with others and how to support each other.
The research projects helped to think critically and enhance my thinking area. I made
personal developments plan for identifying the strengths and weaknesses and actions to work on
them. It was good experience and I am still working with PDP for improving the skills. I am also
working for increasing my technical skills. Further the university experience also increased my
knowledge that I need to work on researching skills as well. This is particularly because of the
reason that in academic life a lot of research need to be done and if I will not be able to good at
it, then this will affect my career.
Along with this I also gathered information that time management is also very important
as this will assist in managing all the work in proper and effective manner. This is particularly
important that if I will not complete my work on time then it might be possible that tutors will
not like my attitude towards completion of work. With the university learning I also collected
information that for getting success it is essential for me to have professional development. This
