ANALYSIS OF THE EXPANSION OF DALATA HOTELS 3Introduction Dalata Hotel Group is an organization which operates in the hotel industry and hasmany hotels in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Dalata Hotel Group was founded in the year2007 by Pat McCann. The hotels that are operated by the Dalata Group include the oneswhich are a part of the Clayton Hotels and Maldron Hotels brands. Dalata is considered to beone of the greatest hotel operators with a portfolio of around 38 hotels and they successfullyoperate their own hotel brands and those of their partners (Dalata Hotel Group PLC. 2018). This report will be based on the expansion plans for the Dalata Group of hotels inanother country so that the group can increase its revenue and profitability. The analysis willbe further based on the internal and the external environment of the company and thestrategies that are applicable in the operations in another country where it will have itsoperations. PESTLE of India Political India is considered to be one of thebiggest democracies of the world. The political environment of thecountry is affected by the interests ofthe politicians and the policiesformulated by the government. The business environment of thecountry is affected by variouspolitical factors. The system of taxation in India iswell-developed which include taxeslike, service tax, sales tax andincome tax. Privatization in the country is alsoinfluenced by the governmentpolicies and the Indian governmentencourages business operations(Boella 2017). EconomicIndia has a stable economiccondition after the introduction ofvarious reforms in the policies in theyear 1991. The policies have helped in theliberalization of the foreign capital,industriallicensingandimprovement of the economicenvironment of the country.India had registered a GDP ofaround 5.07 trillion dollars in the year2013.The GDP growth of the country hasbeen increasing gradually in thefollowing years and the made thecountry a hot spot for businessactivities (Cuervo-Cazurra 2016).
