INTRODUCTION
While the Hospitality industry is one of element in terms of economic system, the
hotel enterprise is an essential aspect of tourism business. The development of the Marriott
Hotel is a key pre-condition for tourism development. It is important thing to promote the
level of hospitality & service to incoming tourists the international standards. Most
importantly, it focuses on the effective project management office and become consider as
topical areas as successful implementation that will increase to the development of hospitality
industry.
Concept
Explain the project management office (PMO) concept
The project management office is based on team or department that sets, maintain a
proper standards for entire project management throughout an enterprise. it continuously
changing the procedures of enterprise and best way to implement suitable practices. It can be
possible due to the effectiveness of PMO. Marriott is the fastest growing hotel –chain and
always focused on the different projects, monitoring the impact, effectiveness of various
procedure (Anwar and Abdullah, 2021). The aim of PMO is constantly looking for way to
enhance the business operational activities. Whenever, the hotel enterprise is actively
participated into different tasks and creating actionable plan, which provide norms, standards
for undertaking the specific projects. It is the most common approach because it ensure that
all kind of tasks handled in proper manner. It also enabled them to find the right procedure to
fine tune, improving the level of efficiency.
Just like every enterprise necessarily needs to consider agile approach, so that it
should be considered the PMO as the best way to maintain business operations & functions
smoothly. It also assigned the tasks of PMO for every teams or groups. It enough personal
investment and understanding the picture of Marriott hotel. The concept of PMO (project
management office) helps to find the business process of Marriott hotel. It prevent the
bottlenecks while managing and controlling the complex tasks of hotel enterprise.
In Marriott hotel, it introduced the PMO, and used by administrator function that help
to identify risk or threat in management reports, collated time schedule, even in booking
process of hotel rooms (Chalupa, Petricek and Ulrych, 2021). At that time, PMO can be used
to manage and control the business operations. In some situation, it is implementing value

adding concept of PMO and successful way to help the business project. The main role is to
help the projects which are governed in proper manner. It support the business to predict the
advantage, benefits and examined the poor performance.
Project management office (PMO) is consider the best resource factor and performed
by enterprise which can either understanding the role of people. In some cases, it is very hard
to overcome the challenges in the enterprise this is why because of poor management in the
projects. With early intervention, it will be implementing the concept of PMO and work with
team to find the best results or outcomes.
Theories associated with PMOs
The project management office (PMO) seems to be based on theories of management
that helps to find the best possible structure & emphasis on the PMBOK.
By using dispatching model or theory, it is mainly used in the project management
office in the hospitality industry. It is the most common theory which can be represented as
execution and criticism finding the assumptions. Generally, it focused on the inputs to a
particular tasks, and necessary resources to execute multiple operations. For example-
Marriott hotel introduced the concept of PMO within organisation. So, it always consider
theory of planning as management. It is completely based on the realization of multiple tasks
pushed by an effective plan.
The dispatching theory associated with PMO, compared to the starting point of
engine, which will be utilised by planned resources, commitment of responsibility of project
manager. Throughout dispatching theory, a project manager in Marriott hotel can be achieved
the tasks through communicating the authorization (Chan, 2021). It provide the right order to
manage and control the responsibility in step by step manner. In order to implement a project
of PMO, consider the dispatching theory to support project manager and build a two-way
communication between other team members. It is an essential aspect to find the best
commitment of team members so that they can easily start or compile only if it possible to
committed and realise with suitable tasks.
By considering thermostat model, the project manager in hotel can be improved the
learning and finding the improvement area or place. Thermostat theory associated with PMO
in order to perform relevant experiment regarding quality of service. For example- in Marriott
hotel, it may arise a problem regards quality of resources. So, it is important to focus on the
validity of particular test series (Mingotto, Montaguti and Tamma, 2021). It can be performed
