Project managers are the major aspects in every business and are
very compulsorily needed to achieve success with any project or
program that an organisation intends or desires to accomplish. The
project managers are compatible with various industries like
construction, hospitality, sales and marketing, information
technology, engineering, healthcare etc. The main reason to opt
project manager as a career is its requirement in every industry that
makes it easier to have a large number of opportunities for growth
and success. Marketing and sales is the second job specialisation
that could be advantageous because most of the organisations
perform marketing and sales activities and require a professional to
handle them.
Job Role Description

Travelodge Hotels Ltd is an International Hotel chain
headquartered in Thame, England, UK, and was
established in the year 1973. The Travelodge Hotels
Ltd operates in the hospitality industry and the
organisation provides enormous opportunities for
career growth. Due to the intensified growth of travel
and tourism activities throughout the world the
hospitality business has got innumerable opportunities
for continuous growth (Bess, 2020).
Industry Research (Hospitality Sector)

I have obtained various skills and abilities that could
be helpful to achieve success in my career as project
manager and sales and marketing manager in the
business. I have obtained various skills such as team
management, communication, interpersonal skills,
problem solving, critical thinking, decision making,
ICT, digital literacy, innovation and creativity, etc.
These skills were developed by various activities
during the higher studies, experiences obtained during
the work, team working activities during the projects
and assignments, participating in sports activities etc.
Reflection on the Skills Required

The individual skills and abilities could be helpful to
achieve success in the career and profession growth
activities (Alam and et. al., 2020). It is because an
individual could use these skills in handling the
problematic situations, improving team performance,
making effective decisions, thinking critically,
communicating effectively to the customers, etc.
Moreover, some skills like ICT, digital literacy,
innovation and creativity could be helpful to integrate
and make use of the latest technology that can provide
competitive advantages for growth.
Future Implications of These Skills

For effectively creating the CV and LinkedIn profile I
focused on developing a high impact profile with
proper formatting, use of graphics, keywords, clean
layout, concise content etc. I focused on developing
such a profile that could provide the overall
description of my capabilities, academic
qualifications, experience, additional learning etc. I
have created a clear profile by referring to the top
profiles on LinkedIn so that I can develop the best
profile for my CV and LinkedIn.
Developing the LinkedIn Profile and CV to
Match Job Requirements

I have also considered taking
additional self-development activities
like networking, job fares, attending
guest lectures, and learning programs
from LinkedIn so that I can achieve
effective desired performance for the
job. I also obtained many certificate
courses like personality development
and time management so that I can
enhance my chances for professional
growth.
Exceptional Activities Undertaken

Development Plan

With the combination of various abilities, skills and conceptual
knowledge the results that can be obtained for achieving
organisational goals will be exceptional and highly positive. There
are very few people who can handle problematic situations
effectively and efficiently and provide good results and performance
(Crawford and Fink, 2019). I have certain skills and abilities that can
be helpful to handle various activities within a business like
communication, ICT, digital literacy, team management, innovation
and creativity, problem solving, interpersonal skills, critical thinking
etc.
Pitch for Getting Selected for the Job Role

It has been obtained from the above description that it has been understood that an individual
must understand various skills and abilities that are required for a desired job role. Moreover, it
has been understood that there are various opportunities for growth in the hospitality industry to
pursue a career in project management and our marketing/sales. Finally, a development has been
provided that can be helpful to gain desired skills and abilities for achieving greater chances for
growth in the field of chosen career.
