INTRODUCTION
Skill development is an important aspect that contributes personal and professional
development. Thus, an individual should focus on acquiring and developing the set of
transferable and employability skills in order to accomplish the future career objectives.
Learning from the university renders understanding and knowledge different transferable and
technical skills that frames out the wholesome knowledge of the individuals. Group projects
from the learning programs develops the team work, communication, time management and
other transferable skills of an individual which is crucial for working in future workplace. when
an individual acquires the set of transferable skills and knowledge she/she can easily address the
employability and other challenges in the personal and professional career goals. Thus, it
becomes important for an individual for acquiring the skills set and knowledge in order to attain
the career goals. Learning program help to develop the practical knowledge of an individual that
determines an idea of how work is to be done, critical analytical abilities, decision making for
analyzing different situation and other that helps to support an individual by useful skills and
knowledge. This report covers definition of PPD which is Personal and Professional
Development and the process, skill assessment, SWOT analysis to Continuous Professional and
Personal Development, reflection on the challenges highlighted in PPD plan, reflection on the
developments of the transferable skills acquired from the learning program (Bandaranaike,
2018).
TASK 1
Determine what is Personal and Professional Development (PPD) and PPD planning process
Personal and Professional Development (PPD) is nothing but accessing own skills and
abilities in order to determine the potential abilities in own self. PPD is prepare in order to
accomplish the set of certain goals and objectives in the future course of action. These involves
that an individual must have accomplish the hard and soft skills wherein an individual might
identify certain areas where there is need of improvements and develop the desired action plan in
order to accomplish these. It is important for an individual in order to draw out conclusion of
one’s potential and what far one should put efforts to accomplish the desired set of objectives
(Cabral and Dhar, 2019).

Personal and Professional Development planning process are as:
The first step of the PPD starts with determining the clear set of objectives that on wants to
accomplish in the future course, these involves the basic purpose of the planning process of the
personal and professional plan. These set of objectives ca be determined by SMART objectives
which involves that the objectives must be specific to accomplish the set of personal and
professional career objectives, they must be measureable to value the strengths and weaknesses,
achievable, relevant in the workplace and time bound which involves that the objectives must be
acquired within the determined span of time.
The second step is determined by identifying the development needs, wherein an individual
recognizes the area to make development and to focus upon, these can be identified by
determining the strengths and weaknesses and evaluating the grey areas (Cajiao and Burke,
2016).
Look at development opportunities, these involves identifying the opportunities from which the
above identified opportunities so that skills and knowledge can be developed. Personal and
professional opportunities like group discussion, project work, learnings acquired from the
university and others in order to improve and focus on the set of skills that needs to be
developed.
Formulate action plan, is determined by the planning out the course of action that needs to be
developed and prepared. The action plan involves the importance of the specific set of skills and
knowledge in the personal and professional life, how these can be improved, the resources
required, and setting out the clear time span to accomplish these set of objectives (Carbonell
Carrera and et.al., 2017).
Undertake developments, in this stage the individual looks for implementing the measures
involves the above stages and works on them to accomplish the set of objectives.
Record Outcomes, the individual records the outcome and developments of the objectives, to
valuate that how effective and individual to accomplish the desired personal and professional
development objectives.

Review and evaluate, is the last stage wherein an individual determines that whether she/he has
acquired the set of goals and objectives. These can be accessed by feedbacks, evaluation of
performance, self-evaluation and other methods in order to determine the effectiveness of the
PPD plan that how far it has able to accomplish the set of framed objectives.
Carry out skill assessment
Throughout the academic learnings and written work, I was able to improve my written
communication skills and knowledge of different business theories. Business theories are
determined by policies that describes the business market, competition, culture that will help me
to enhance my learning over how different business policies and important decision are been
taken. The research work helped me to develop knowledge on how to support the written
communication with relevant information and judgments. I helped me to develop written
communication skills and knowledge over different topics pertaining to different business
management realm that will helps to deliver effective communication and decision making to
different topics in the workplace and accomplish my future career goals (Chapman, Miles and
Maurer, 2017).
In the learning program wherein I was rendered different reading materials in order to improve
my critical thinking abilities and make the desired decisions by evaluating different situation and
events to conclude the different events with desired conclusion. Wide reading around different
topics with supported case studies helped me to develop my understanding over different topics
that how to take action, policies in different events, examples of how people responded to
different situation, what is business management, what are the different theories, how they work,
theories to manage he internal workplace and others in order to draw desired outcomes to
different situations.
Harvard referencing is an important tool which helps to support the academic content with
relevant information, with help to deliver the actual sources of the information used in the
academic text. It has helped me to complete my research work in order to support the research
work with the relevant sources and make the research work more authentic (Garbati and Mady,
2015).

In the learning program I was able to develop my understanding over building strong common
doer languages like use of right grammar, punctuation, spelling in order to deliver the most
appropriate data which is free of any errors and mistakes. I also learnt the importance of
delivering right and appropriate data in the academic research work as the very first importance
to deliver error free research work, second the reducing the risk of rejection of the research work,
third it helps to deliver the knowledge of an individual for the language.
SWOT Analysis of your skills in relation to Continuous Professional and Personal Development
Continuous Professional and Personal Development (CPD) is a process of developing
documentation of the professional skills and knowledge of the ongoing process these helps to
evaluate the grey areas and strengths of an individual. Thus, keeping records of all of these
helped to determine the potential pf an individual to different business events.
As per goal setting theory I want to prepare CPD plan to determine my current potentials, which
is as:
Clarity: Clarity involves setting proper goals and objectives of the plan.
Specific: I want to accomplish command over transferable skills with the help of learning
program in order to accomplish my future career objectives. Measurable: I want to measure the
effectiveness of thus by feedback from my mentors, Achievable: With the help of learning
program, I want to improve my soft and hard skills, Relevance: In order to acquire career
objectives, these transferable skills will help me to get employability. Time bound: I need to
accomplish these by the end of 3rd semester (Gordon and Gordon, 2017).
Challenge: Developing challenging goals is important, wherein I need to develop self-discipline
throughout with desired self-rewards in order to maintain the consistency throughout the
objectives.
Commitment: Commitment involves visualizing the hoe actual success looks like, knowing the
outcome of putting the efforts, that where these learning take you to. I need to committed in
order to accomplish the set of objectives.

Feedbacks: I need to take feedbacks from my mentors and self-evaluation of the progress that I
make. Feedbacks will help me to know the effectiveness of the skills and knowledge that I
possess (Hanus and Havelková, 2019).
Task Complexity: When task is complex it leads to stress and demotivates an individual to take
further developments in the objectives. Thus I need to develop simply easy measures which ca be
easily achievable by me in order to avoid stress and complexities.

With the changes in the technologies, due to the technical issues faced different problem for
completing the research work. Apart from the technical challenges, other challenges focusing
non-technical barrier like communication with the mentors of doubts on different topics and
pertaining issues that brings inefficiencies in the project work (Hill and et.al.,2019).
Engaging with the team member
During the team work project, it was very crucial engage with each of the tem management and
deliver tem the group project handling each of the concerns leads to face difficulties in
completing the project work within the specified deadline. Engaging with the team member was
a difficult case wherein which involved communicating the project objectives, the shortcomings,
things that needs to improve while the project task.
Measuring outcomes
Due to lack of accurate results and outcomes of the projects, it becomes difficult to track the
developments accurately. The results are more focused over delivering the quality feedbacks and

Improving learning effectiveness
It was difficult to address all the topics covered in the learning module and at the same time
develop different set of skills. Thus, I faced difficulty over managing different set of learnings at
the same time, which made t unable to recall the things I learnt, thus made inefficiencies to have
effective learnings.
Conflict management
Another issue faced in the group projects involved the conflicts management in the team,
wherein different individual with different set of concerns and opinions wants put themselves
and their ideas first that brought inefficiencies in the project objectives Wherein, I was unable to
manage the team work (Hou and et.al.,2017).

Maintaining the consistency in the project work was an important aspect in order to accomplish
the desired projects aspect on the targeted time. Due to different topics which required detailed
study and analysis, research work, resources that takes results to huge time taking in order to
complete the project task.
Tracking developments
I was very difficult for me to tracts the developments meanwhile the project in order to evaluate
the effectiveness of the project that how it benefits my core competent skills wherein, the
frequent feedbacks from different mentors would vary, thus inappropriate evaluation of the skills
wherein I was unable to address progress my project lead to faulty results and outcomes of skills
assessment.

With the help of the CPPD activities and the program learning, I was able to learn
different skills that will help me to accomplish my future career objectives. Wherein, with the
learning programs and CPPD activities supported me to accomplish transferable skills that
shapes an individual personal and professional development in the workplace. These transferable
skills that I acquired is listed below:
Time management: With the help of the learning activities wherein I learnt how to
manage the time and balance it between the personal and professional life. Time
management is an important skill in order to complete the assigned task within the
determined standard time.
Leadership skills: Leadership skills is an important skill to deliver and communicate the
objectives and direct the team member towards the project objectives, with the help of the
CPPD learning, I have able to develop my learning on leadership skills, the importance of
the leadership in the workplace, how it contributes towards accomplishment of the
organizational objectives, to guide and assist the team members into a same direction
(Sotiriadou and et.al.,2020).

Communication skills: With the help of the CPPD activities and the project learning, I
was able to develop my written communication and verbal communication which boosted
my confidence and deliver the project objectives within the specified time period.
Communication skills are important in order to accomplishment the future course of
employment, wherein effective communication is required in a workplace for execution
and implementation of the organizational policies.
Decision making abilities: With the project learning, wherein I researched about
different project topics that helped me to improved my critical thinking abilities over
different topics, developed my understanding to different events to make desired
decision. Decision making abilities are important in order to take important decisions to
different organizational contexts.
Problem solving skills: With CPPD and project learnings helped me to develop my
problem solving skills wherein I had to work with my team members and address their
concerns and issues faced within the project work. Problem solving skills is important in
order to draw desired conclusion to different identified problems.
Analytical reasoning: Analytical reasoning is more like problem solving skills, wherein
I learnt to deliver desired outcome by breaking down the problem, statiscal data and
relevant information to draw the further solutions.
Project management: Project management skill is an important aspect in order to build
consistency over accomplishing the project objectives right from start to the end. These
involves managing the project objectives, acquire learning, completing the project
objectives asper the given standards and deadline. With the help of the project learning I
was able to complete my research project as per the rendered time (Yoke and Ngang,
2017).
Relationship building: It is important in order to build working relationship with the
team member, by smooth communication, addressing their ideas, developing team spirit
in order to improve productivity at the project work. Relationship building will helps in
me in my future career role in order coordinate efforts of different individual and
accomplish the desired group goals.

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it is clear that skills development while learning program is
an important aspect that contributes towards overall growth of an individual. Skill developments
boost the knowledge pertaining to different academic and professional topics that makes an
individual competent enough to accomplish the set of career targets. Thus the main role is to
identify these and develop desired career action plan in order to improve the weakness and
develop the overall growth. In order to get employability, an individual have some transferable
and employability skills so that he/she is able to accomplish career goals. the above report
