INTRODUCTIONIndividuals who are working in health and social care needs to make sure that they are ableto boost organisational effectiveness by following principles as well as laws that are enacted tostandardise procedures (Glasby, 2017). The whole health and social care sector is based on theaspects which will ensure that every person is treated in a good manner. Any health and socialCare Organisation has to follow all the rules and regulations that are put by the authorities andthe United Kingdom government. The whole project is based on three parts that only statingabout different approaches which are used by organisations that are working in health and socialcare sector to protect their patient’s, employee’s, clients and several parties from any type ofharmful effects. As well as this report will cover different procedures that I used by Healthcareorganisations in ensuring that all the policies and procedures as well as regulations and other actsare followed while they serve patients. It and various theories will be stated that are used byHealthcare personal in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities at the specified workplaces.TASK 11.1 Principles of support for ensuring that individuals are cared for in health and social careNHS has always been a promoter of awareness regarding various diseases. One of such casesare of Victoria who has a Profound and multiple Sensory difficulties which requires 24-hoursupport (Drummond and et. al., 2015). The case of cited patient states it very well that there arecertain principles which are required to be followed by individuals so that they can providehigher level of services to clients. Any type of negligence is unbearable and has to be dealt withcare. The demand of patient is always high in such cases of disabilities. There are variousprinciples that are applied in such situations. They are stated below:Increasing choice and control: The care homes need to ensure that they are able to controleach and every activity of patient so that they do not end up putting themselves in harm’sway. This has to be done while ensuring that they get free life as well. Establishing relationship: It is very important for health workers to establish relationshipwith patients so that they are able to communicate as well as understand their issues andtreat them in a more effective and proper manner. 1

Promotion of health: It is essential for health workers to make sure that they are able topromote health so that families of patient like Victoria are aware as what they have to doto help their ward in recovering.Respect: It is important to give respect to each patient as this will boost their confidenceand motivate to be more independent.Adoption of whole person approach: This is an approach which is used by health workerswhere they treat every type off individuals in an equal manner. Risk taking responsibilities: There are different types of responsibilities that can beimparted to other (Dickinson and O'Flynn, 2016). But health workers must make sure thatthey take risk which would benefit patients. 1.2 Outline current legislative procedures and/or policies for Safeguarding Vulnerable AdultsThere are different legislative procedures that are there for safeguarding adults who arevulnerable to different types of harms. Basically, it is important for an organisation to ensure thatthey and their workers are able to follow all the legal requirements as well as framework whileserving these type of patients. For example, Victoria is a vulnerable individual who needs atreatment with extreme care (Folland, Goodman and Stano, 2016). The NHS framework forVulnerable adults 2015 has stated about various procedures that are to be followed by workers ofcare homes in a precision manner so that they are able to treat each individual in a right manner.These procedures are mentioned below in a brief way:Supporting health care needs: The health workers are tasked to be ready 24*7 as to provideall type of healthcare needs and wants. There are many issues which are faced by Victoria andhas to be solved by carers. Assisting in maintaining emotional stability: It is very important to establish relationshipwith patient like Victoria so that they can trust the workers. This will enable them in maintainingthe emotional stability which is important in recovering. Supporting mobility: It is essential for a patient to keep on moving so that their mobilityorgans are functional and not dead. Also this will give him boost in confidence. Basically it isessential and has to be done so that they are able to become more independent. The procedure is also stated in image given below:2
