Setting up a Private Web Hosting Server for Ice Cream Delivery Service

Overview
A local ice cream delivery service wants to set up a private web hosting server (ISP).
This will be very helpful for their contractors. The local ice cream delivery service owner wants
to set up all the services which required to offer the web hosting service within a single virtual
machine. The new solution must separate the current infrastructure of ice cream delivery service.
The primary services include Web hosting remote shell access and FTP/SFTP. The private web
hosting server does not only provide the primary services but it also has to support secondary
services such as authentication.
Requirements
The requirements for setting up a private web hosting server to the local ice cream
delivery service are given below.
VMware Player
Windows Server 2016
Web server (IIS)
FTP/SFTP
Steps to setup a virtual machine
Before starting to set up a virtual machine, download and install VMware player. The
virtual machines are going to install using this VMware player.
Installation of windows server 2016 using VMware player
In that VMware player, go to ‘Home’ and click create a virtual machine option. As
shown in the below screenshot, the ‘New Virtual Machine Wizard’ will appear. In that wizard,
select any one of the three options and then press ‘Next’.

After that, a guest operating system must be selected. Here, the Guest OS is Microsoft
Windows and its Version is Windows server 2016. After selecting those, enter ‘Next’ button.

After selecting the Guest OS, the virtual machine’s name must be entered and the
location path must be browsed. Then, the ‘Next’ button is clicked.
The maximum disk size is entered. Then select any one of the two options. Here, the
second option of split virtual disk is selected. Then, the ‘Next’ button is clicked.

Check the virtual machine settings and click ‘Finish’ after confirming the settings. Or
customize hardware settings if needed.
The Windows server 2016 is getting started. Then the Windows Setup Wizard will have
appeared as shown in the below screenshot. In that, select language, Time format, and Input
method and then click ‘Next’.

After that, the below-shown screen will have appeared. In that, Click ‘Install now’.
After that, the Windows Setup wizard will have appeared as shown below. In that, select
the required operating system. Here, ‘Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Evaluation (Desktop
Experience)’ is selected. The ‘Next’ button is clicked.
