the second largest retailer in Australia.
The company was founded in 1914 and has
the headquartered in Victoria, Australia.
It has a big supermarket in Australia and
provides the services of online shopping.

Supply Issue
The procurement department has to manage many
products in the supermarket store.
The Coles supermarket deals in many products and
services so they have to manage the groceries,
fresh food, fuel, general merchandise, liquor, etc.

Supply Issue
• The supply issue, which was seen in the company
Coles in the online grocery as it, was more
complex than the other online retails.
• A higher level of intelligence is required in the
perishable items and to maintain the grocer’s
supply chain was very challenging

Operational issues
There is a large number of customers the company
Coles has as they deal in the quality food and the
great value.
The Coles uses the techniques of the Consumer
survey to evaluate the demand forecasting

• The company uses to manage relationship
techniques for managing the inventory.
• The issues arise in managing the inventory, as
there is a lot of stock, which is difficult to
manage.
• The demand for certain products is very high so
to meet the customers demand on time is also
very challenging for the company.

• The information technology is very essential as it
manages the production and information flows.
• The company Coles faces the certain challenges
and issues such as the network instability,
warehouse problems, etc.
• They also faces the problems of the printing and
scanning issues with the customers, poor quality
database system, improper software updates,
lack of basic security, etc.

integration in which the company operates its
function through the supply chain.
• It is difficult for the companies to meet the
requirements of the clients and to adjust the
customer’s request so there was the lack of
flexibility.
• Threes A (agility, adaptability, and alignment ) of
the supply chain is very helpful for the company
in meeting the customer's satisfaction and
maximizing the profit.

Sustainability Issues
• There were many sustainable issues in the
company Coles that were affecting their logistic
networks.
• The basic challenge faced by the company is in
the food journey.
• The triggers model of the sustainability in the
company is enacted from the different areas such
as the value creation, innovation in the product,
etc.

Conclusion
• There were many issues have been seen in the
supply chain management.
• But the company Coles will adopt the different
ways to overcome with this problems.
• This issues have a great impact on the supply
chain of the Coles.
