This article explores how plain packaging reduces the appeal of tobacco products and enhances health warnings. It also discusses how packaging influences the identities co-created with tobacco products by adults. The study reveals that plain packaging reduces the smokers’ ratings of the positive pack characteristics, positive smoker characteristics, and positive taste characteristics. The tobacco plain packaging bill of 2011 has been highly effective in making this mission successful and must be encouraged in every country across the world.

Young adult smokers' perceptions of cigarette pack innovation, pack colour and plain packaging
